This is my experience with Sky Facet...

My wife purchased a wedding band from SkyFacet at the end of September.  Well, the ring did not fit, so I sent it back to get resized after calling to get an RA#.  After a week, I started calling to get the status, because they told me it would only be a few days turnaround, as we were getting married on November 1st.  I had a real hard time getting someone to answer the phone, and nobody ever returned any messages I left.  I would call them over and over until someone actually answered.  When I did get someone on the phone, they would say that there was a delay in QC, and it should ship out "tomorrow".  This happened 3-4 times.  I called again on the 30th of October and requested a refund, but they assured me the ring would ship out overnight that day, and I would have it on the 31st.  The ring did not show up on the 31st and I couldn't get anyone to answer calling Sky Facet, so I had to rush out late that afternoon and buy a wedding band at a local jewelry store for my wedding the next day.

We left on a 2 week honeymoon right from the wedding.  When we got back we saw that FedEx tried to deliver the ring the day of the wedding.  We were obviously not there to sign for it.  Since FedEx could not deliver it, they returned it back to SkyFacet...I still have the tracking info and verified that it got returned to Sky Facet.  It was signed for by R. Sonniar on November 10th.  I started calling SkyFacet when I returned from the honeymoon, but had a real hard time getting someone to answer the phone again.  I would try to call 10-30 times per day.  I did leave messages, but never got a return call.  Occasionally I would get someone to answer, and they would always tell me that a supervisor would call me back, but I never received a call from anyone.  This went on for several months.

I finally talked to Stephanie Sanar on March 6th.  She assured me that she would start an investigation and get it resolved for me.  She noticed the ring had been returned, but could not offer a refund because it was out of the 30 day window.  I did send back the ring a week after I received it.  The only reason it has gone on this long, is because I couldn't get an answer or call back from anybody at Sky Facet.  She offered me store credit while I was waiting on the "investigation".  I already had purchased a wedding band, and times were tight, so I really needed a refund.  We had a few emails back and forth, but she never got to a resolution of the case.

I finally decided to use the store credit as my last resort to try to recoup the money.  I sent Stephanie an email on May 20th with 2 item #'s to order using the credit.  I did not receive a reply.  I sent another email on June 10th asking if she was still there.  I did not get a reply from her.

I found Paul Sanar on Twitter on June 25th and sent him a message with my phone number for him to call.  We had a few messages back and forth and he gave me his email address on August 27th.

I sent him a detailed email explaining the whole situation on August 28th.  He sent back a reply of "Let me look it to this give me till Wednesday Sept 2 you sound like a fair man so I will set this straight."  I didn't hear anything by Sept. 3rd, so I sent him another email.  I did not get a reply, so I sent him another email on Sept. 14th.  He did reply on the 14th with "I will send your check out today."

I did not receive anything, and started sending him emails again.  He did not respond until October 25th with this...

On my initial email on August 28th, I told him that I had not posted anything negative about Sky Facet yet.  I had honestly forgotten about that post, but I did not write anything negative or slanderous in that post.  I was simply stating the facts and asking for help.

I sent him an email on Nov. 8th stating that I was giving him one last chance to set this right, and gave him a deadline of Nov. 13th.  He did not reply...I sent him a "reminder" email on Nov. 12th stating he had 1 more day.

He sent a reply on November 13th stating..."We are looking all over the web for any other negative comments you may have written. Until our investigation is over i can not send you a check. you told me you did not write anything but then we found a website on which you did write something."

As if what I wrote had anything to do with the fact that they had stolen my money.  After searching the internet, I saw that I was not the only person that has trouble with Sky Facet.  Almost all of the complaints I see state that it is very difficult to get someone to answer the phone or return messages.  I know that it is going to be hard to get my money back from them, so I am just going to do my best to make sure my story is known to other people shopping for jewelry on the internet.

 

Do not buy from Sky Facet if you like money!!!!

After writing this report and sending the link to Paul, he did send me a check.  Only took about a year to get my refund, but I got it.

At Sky Facet we custom manufacture every wedding band purchased to each and every orders exact specifications. 

This customer purchased a ring which we offered a ring size kit. A ring size kit is shipped before your real ring is delivered, to guarantee to your ring size is correct. 

This customer purchased a custom wedding band and did not tell us the wedding date. After 4 days of the ring in our possession we shipped it back via FedEx Overnight 10:30am. They did not tell us they were leaving to another state. 

If we knew they were leaving to another state we could have shipped them the ring without an issue to there other address or one of our Customer Commitment Reps would have flown out personally(We have done this 4 times in our companies history. 

Also note Sky Facet does not offer refunds on custom made jewelry. We clearly state this on all pages with product information. 

We had felt bad that they did not have there ring on time so we sent a Pendant worth $2,400 as a gift. 

This customer did not contact us until a year later. We gave them a refund and let them keep the pendant we had sent.

We have been manufacturing jewelry with pride in the USA since 1976. We have served over 40,000 customers in our companies history we are sorry this person continues to fabricate lies. Like any normal jeweler we can not give refunds on custom made products.
