Zales Jewelry rude salesman loses out on $8000 commission Lufkin Texas

I recently got engaged to my college sweetheart, the perfect proposal but no ring. He is kind of clueless in the jewelry department (especially when it comes to diamonds) and sent me off to choose a ring to my liking. I stepped into Zales and looked around. There were two salespeople standing there not even acknowledging my presence. Tired of listening to them talk amongst themselves I requested the ring to try on.

One of the salesmen looked at me like I was the most annoying thing he had ever laid eyes on then gave me the ring. He stood right next to me with open hands waiting for the ring back the entire time I was trying it on. When I gave it back to him he put it back and then walked away, he didn't even respond to the questions I was asking him or anything.

I left the store and was outraged by how rude he had treated me. I thought it was probably because I look too young to be shopping for an engagement ring. At twenty five people always confuse me for fourteen or fifteen. Well, I turned around and walked back in there and asked the rude man if I could talk to his manager.

When she came forward I told her how I felt I was treated very badly. She asked me what had happened and I told her how the man was very rude while showing me the ring. She looked at me and snapped, “Well, he showed you the ring didn't he?” Then they started laughing at me.

I was floored by the obvious disregard she showed towards me and turned to leave. Since then I have taken my business elsewhere. If only that sorry little man had treated me with respect than he would have received commission on an $8000 engagement ring.
