    Corporate Advocacy Program
this entire ordeal took over 5 months! on 9/9/08 we were told that we could purchase a used transmission with 42k miles with a 6 month warranty from a to z autosalvage for just under $1600. this is actually a fairly decent deal, most other businesses were selling similar transmission for $2000 to $2500. we were told that we must send them the money so they could process the vehicle and ship our transmission, and that this process could take 7 to 10 business days. before we agreed to send the money we received a verbal guarentee to recieve the part (transmission) from a female employee by the name of rene within the 7 to 10 days.

ALL OF THIS WAS NOTHING BUT A LIE!!! after the 10 business days passed we started to call almost everyday asking when we can expect our much needed transmission. we would get one lie after another, were still processing the car. it had the wrong transmission, send us some pictures of what you have so we can make sure it is the right one etc..etc...when they started to avoid our phone calls is when we really started to worry. when we called from our business number we would get an answering machine. or we could immediately call from a different (cell phone) number they would pick up by the second ring, then would have to back pedal with another lie or excuse.

we determined at this point that there was no way that they even had the transmission in question back when we sent them the money. they slipped up and said that one of there buyers was trying to locate a car. after months of frustration we demanded our money back. this is when we told that the accounts payable department handles refunds. 2 months after being told that we would be able to get a refund we finally recieved a check the 2nd week of february 2009! that only took 3 to 4 phone calls and messages a day!

needless to say we were lied to numerous times throughout the whole process, and would like to prevent anyone else from dealing with this aggrevation.
LONG STORY SHORT, IF YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AND ENJOY BEING LIED TO THEN YOU HAVE FOUND THE PERFECT JUNK YARD! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SCAMMED AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AVOID A to Z Auto Salvage LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

This is in response to the report posted by Pay Day Auto. Please accept our apology for the manner in which this transaction was handled . We strive to provide excellent customer service and we are sorry that we could not provide that service to you . When the order was placed we did indeed have a transmission for this vehicle, upon removal of the transmission we discovered that the case was busted. We then bought 2 more vehicles, but the transmissions in those was not the correct transmissions because the gear ratios were different. We did try to satisfy this order but were unable to do it in a timely manner. The refund did have to go to our accounts payable department for processing. The reason for the delay in processing was due to an illness with the person who handles the refunds and she was out for 10 weeks following surgery. Renee should have kept you informed of this information but as we later found out that was not the case. She is no longer with the company due to such practices. As I stated before we strive to provide excellent customer service and have numerous satisfied customers all over the United States. Once again I apoligize that you were not one of those customers. We mailed out your refund on Friday 2-6-2009 at which time I called and informed Janice that it was going out.

Rene is no longer with the company?

AUTHOR: Tony - Ames (USA)

That's strange.  Rene answered the phone there this month, and said that she was the owner.  Sure, they might have had an employee named Rene two years ago and now they have an owner by the same name... but something doesn't sound right.
