I was the owner of a 2001 Grand Am, I sold it to Bobi Santore, I was sued in court and the car is considered a LEMON. So buyers beware if she is trying to sell it!!! She bought it for $2500 and recently was trying to resell it for $3500 and said it had 20k on NEW motor, Which is incorrect the actually miles is unknown, as declared on the title!!!! This is on a Golden 2001 Grand Am. The issues have been keys not working, dead batteries, oil leaking, ruff driving, excessive blow bye, electrical problems (locks, and switches) JB weld put on back of timing cover (which I guess she replaced the part). From what she said in court. I am only posting this cause I am having to pay for repairs to car after she bought "as is" And the judge (David Bandy) said “AS IS” only is for dealer protection not for personal sale. My questions why on the receipt where the car was fix, didn’t have her name or phone number? I wonder if it even had a problem, I was told by workers at Dwayne’s BBQ that he owns the town n pays people off? Makes since why he was there in the court room. And the Judge never even looked at the Receipt for the car? And the amount the judge said I had to pay didn’t match the receipt? Something fishy in that town!
as the previous owner I didn’t know of the JB Weld, makes me feel back for selling it I would have just drove it till it died, but I also bought the car used and didn’t take it to a mechanic, I have always done most of my own work breaks, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets light motor work, but I have never gone throw this motor all the way. so if she tries to sell it please get it looked at, compression check, that blow bye means rings going back, I don’t know if she drove it without oil cause she said it would lose oil about a quart every 5 miles?? I don’t know the truth just going by what she told me and what was said in court.
Please beware, she felt like I screwed her and I saw she was trying to do " " the same thing to someone else and charge more (cause has electric start)
