Colonial Properties Bad Service to Tenants Hoover Alabama

My wife and I live at the Colonial Grand at the Galleria. When we first moved in the apartments were rather pleasant. However as time as moved forward things have steadily gotten worse.

The apartments have removed the security gates at the two entrances to the complex. There were five courtesy officers living in the complex, now there is only one. Since then there has been a noticeable increase in crime in this particular complex, namely strongarm robberies. Part of the problem is the influx of illegal immigrants that have moved in, namely most everyone knows the illegals are unable or unwilling to open banking accounts here in the US. Consequently, due to their hard work, they have large amounts of cash on them.

The other problem is that Colonial Grand is allowing these immigrants to move upwards of 10 to 15 people into and apartment designed for 4 people max. I have complained to management about the safety and sanitation concerns this presents but it has been glossed over.

Maintenance and pest control are issues as well. It normally takes me going to the main office and lodging a complaint after making numerous phone calls. Add all this to the fact that have decided to start charging for water and sewer service(that's been averaging about $80 a month-I was told it would be about $30 a month).

Basically if you are looking for a place to move to this complex should be one you avoid.
