Angler Fencing Pike Brandt claims to "Build a Better Fence" - too bad they don't make good! Internet

Build a better fence? I don't think so. We spent 14,000 (yes, that is 14 THOUSAND dollars!) with Pike Brandt/Angler Fencing and less than a year later had to have both a side gate and our vehicle roller gate repaired by another contractor due to improper pouring of the foundations and weak anchoring of the posts. Pike Brandt, owner, failed to respond to my requests to make good.

Specifically, one side entry gate was misaligned because the post was incorrectly set into the concrete and the gate was canted. This was not immediately obvious, but over a period of 6 months the gate worsened to the point it would no longer open or close.

The vehicle roller gate also developed problems within a few months and would not open past 1/3 of the driveway.  Pike had failed to anchor several of the posts with the appropriate "sleeves", so they shifted enough to block the gate. It was also impeded by two poorly sized bolts that had not been trimmed of excess length and were facing the wrong way!  The very expensive powder coating on the gate rails was also badly scratched by the scraping of the bolts.

I contacted Pike several times in writing politely asking for him to come out and see the issues we were having.  He never bothered to respond. Consequently, we had to hire another contractor to take care of the problems.  The fence and gates should have been properly constructed regardless, but having this happen after spending the huge amount of money we did is completely ridiculous!

Don't use this company!
