Kingsway Paving and Interlocking Inc. Incomplete and poor work, not returning calls Concord, Ontario Canada

This company was hired to remove and replace our old interlocking brick in the driveway in April.  They were to replace the old wooden curb with a prefabricated concrete curb to match the rest, in addition to leveling the driveway.  The person who gave us the estimate promised to use a new, special sand that would prevent weeds and when wet, turn into concrete to seal the work.

They told us the job would take 2 days but were packed up and gone at the end of day one.  They did not install the promised concrete curb and little to no sand appeared to be used.  There were gaps between all the bricks and the front step was still wobbly.  All the deficiencies were pointed out to the company rep that day and a portion of the payment was withheld.  They did not want to come back "just for those few little things" so they said they would return and fix the job when they came to pave my neighbour's driveway in 2-3 months.

Not even 2 months later, there were weeds coming up through the brick in the driveway and sidewalks.  Several attempts were made to contact the company; when they did call back, they did not remember the job.  They promised to come on Saturday to inspect the work, but didn't come.  Called again and they said they'd come the next week, but didn't show up.  I don't hold out much hope that they'll ever show up to rectify the problem.
