Lawn Jox left a flyer on my door about a month ago and I decided to try and use them for my lawn cutting services. They have a policy that you have to have your lawn mowed at least four times before you can discontinue their services. I have no problem with that, if in fact their services were any good. They first mowed my lawn on April 4, 2009. When I arrived home after they had been there, you certainly could tell that they had been to my house. My gate on one side of the house would no longer close, they broke two flower bed ornaments, a welcome mat came up missing, and they didn't bother to move my grill back to the concrete pad that it was on and it was stuck in the ground.

The next Monday I told them about the terrible work that they had done and told them in no uncertain terms to never return to my home. Imagine my surprise when I returned from home work late on Friday, April 17, 2009 and let my dog out in the back yard and didn't hear her and realized that my gate was wide open. I had four bricks on the outside of the gate to make sure it stayed closed because a new latch needed to be put on the gate. I had to go and find my dog down the street and she was almost hit by a car. Number one, they were told to never come back to my house, and number two, if they were going to come back they should at the very least put things back the way they found them. They are horrible and they do shoddy work anyway. I would tell anyone out there to NEVER call them for services.

Follow Up on Issue

We always follow up with each customer when there is an issue, whether by email or phone call. In the first part of the season, grass can sometimes be taller than normal and we try to ask that on the front end. I understand where the customer is coming from being upset and we tried to fix the issues with repairs or replacing the items damaged. I have included the emails that I sent her in response to the issues and yes once she canceled we did show up and mow one more time and we canceled her after that. It was a computer issue on reading canceled, but she was not charged for the 2nd mowing. The only price she was charged was $32. Yes we advise 4 cut min. but if there are issues, we do make adjustments. We are a very understanding and customer based driven company. Please feel free to read the emails listed.

Mrs. A,

I understand that you're upset about the service and we want to make the matters better. I have not had a chance to call the customers back that we serviced on Sat yet, but I did look at the route sheet and the crew(which I can fax you a copy of it) did right down that they damaged 2 doormats, and might have damaged some solar light, they where sorry which the crew knows we will take care of these items. But they too made notes which when we sent them out we had no idea, the grass was really tall, which might explain for the extra debris and too not seeing the items in the lawn. Please give us a chance to fix these items and make things right. Last week we serviced 292 lawns last week, on this not even a 5% COMPLAINT issue, but the issues we have still are big ones to us and want to make them right. So please email me and let me know when and what we can do to fix the issues.

Do not EVER send anyone to ever mow my yard again. My yard was mowed on Saturday. Two flower bed ornaments were broken, when someone moved my grill in the back yard, not only did they not move it back, but the wheel was stuck in the grass that was not picked up, a welcome mat has suddenly vanished, and one of my back gate doors suddenly does not close properly. The worst I have ever seen in my life. I will certainly advise people in the neighborhood to ignore those door fliers. I wish I had.

As you know it has started raining today and some areas with bad weather. Due to this our crews couldn't finish their routes. We will be out on Sat 4/4 to service all yards that where missed today due to weather unless we hear from you, plan on seeing us on Sat 4/4. Please make sure we have backyard access. If there is a issue with this or you just want to reschedule please contact us by email or the 24hr customer voice mail 662-895-2348, no later then Friday 4/3 5pm. Thanks again for letting the Lawn Jox Team service your lawns. After service on Sat 4/4, you will then be serviced on your regular next mow-day which is either 1week from today or 2weeks from today, please if this too needs to be changed let us know. I am sorry to hear of Andrea's poor experience, however, I have been a customer of Lawn Jox for three years and felt it was important to respond, simply to confirm that in my experience, if the mowers damage your property they are very happy to work with you on the matter.

The first year they mowed for me, they accidentally broke my front glass door, due to a rock thrown up from the mower. Not only did they offer to replace the door, but they came to my property and offered to sweep up the broken glass. When the replacement door arrived, they came to the property and installed it for me.

I have also never had problems with the quality of the mowing or edging.
