In 2008 I signed up for a one year lawn service contract from Spring-Green of Matthews, NC. I paid for one year's worth of lawn care in advance (Acct #74060). Service was adequate. After I received the last application, I notified them in writing by notating on the final bill (0.00 balance) that I was discontinuing the service. I also called Spring Green at that time to verbally confirm that the service would be canceled and spoke with a female representative who assured me that no more applications would be forthcoming.

Several weeks later, I received a notification on the door that an application had been done. I called and left a message that I did not request that service and, again, for them to discontinue any further service. I then received a bill for that application and immediately called to inform them that I did not request it and specifically had informed them NOT to do it.

I continued to receive bills for that application. I then spoke to a Spring Green rep to tell them that I did not intend to pay for a service that I did not request and in fact explicitly asked NOT to receive. I was told that someone would "investigate". A few days later I received a voice mail that said that I owed them the cost of the application. Less than a week later, I received a letter from their collection agency.

Customer Committment and Higher Standards

The situation was unfortunate and often in busy times it can escalate a situation that is unfortunate for all involved. In this case, we serviced the customer on a full program in 2008 as he stated.  Service was continued into 2009 for round one (customer paid in full for this service and provided no notification of cancellation) and round two (customer paid in full for this service and once again, no notification of cancellation was provided) and round three (unpaid; said he canceled). We keep copies of all paid invoices and have no customer notes on either paid invoices for round one or two in 2009.  The round three work order shows a "call ahead" was done in advance.  We did the service and the customer called the office to cancel "after" the service was performed.  The part-time female office employee canceled "all" future services at this point. We have worked with the customer to meet their expectations and have called the customer personally on numerous occasions, but none of our calls were returned. We have apologized for any inconvenience and have credited the customer's account for the one unpaid, small balance due. Spring-Green is committed to higher standards and we are committed to 100% satisfaction. We have been servicing thousands of happy customers in the Charlotte area for many years and work very hard to meet our customer's wants and needs.

Same Thing Happend to Me

Angie and Derick Richardson are crooks.  They did the same thing to me.  I had a flyer in my mailbox for lawn aeration.  After I paid them for this, they returned a month later and started fertilizing?  I told them to stop, but they started sending me bills for service they did not do.  When I finally spoke to them, they said I was stuck in a 1 year contract even though I never signed anything.  They said it was part of the mailbox flyer even though it was never discussed.  My lawn looked worse then ever from their terrible service.  They thne sent a collection service after me for work they admitted they did not do.  DO NOT ever trust these people or their company.  Please do not use them and let anyone know who does
