I bought the trial prodcut with a gift card because I am very suspicious of these type of companies and was ONLY interested in the trial product. They sent me a second package a few weeks later but did not indicate that they would be charging me for this.
Over the course of several months I received many email from the company with not one of them indicating that they were intending to charge me for anything.
I finally received a email stating that my cc had been declined so I contacted them to ask why they were trying to charge me. I was told that I had enrolled in their program and that if I wanted to opt out I simply needed to return the product.
I did return the product via UPS but they claimed not to have received it and they are threatening to send my account to a collection agency. When I find the tracking number and prove they are LYING there will be hell to pay!

IF you paid with a gift card, then how did they get your credit card number? And I'l bet that there was some mention on the web sight of joining something if you did not cancel. You have to READ everything before you click.

Poor Nancy never heard about Prepaid Visa Gift Cards. These
prepaid cards are good tools against internet crooks and dishonest merchants.

From what I understand is that Nancy, in the hopes of protecting herself used a gift card, which I believe is similar to a pre paid credit card with only a specified amount on it. It also sounds like the company tried charging Nancy's gift card for more money and when it was of course it was declined and they could not collect in this manner they went after Nancy for the money. Therefore it seems using a pre-paid credit card did protect Nancy in that the company could not charge her account for more money but not from the company going after her. I still believe Nancy was smart for using a pre-paid card. Nancy, thanks for the info.
