I visited the magicjack.com website after seeing an advertisment for it online. I purchased the product and when it arrived it did not work as described. I have tried contacting anyone from the company. At the website there is no 800 number online online assistance in the form of a internet operator who gives live help with names like Janice or Robert. In reality the person you are speaking to is located in an office in India or Europe, but not in the States. They need to teach the it guys or girls there better English. I assume that is why there is no direct 1800 number

I have tried configuring my pc in every fashion suggested bye the online operators there. This product has never worked as described. I will admit for a month calls would actually go through but would never allow me to complete the calls. They would drop all the time. I have asked the online operator, IT people on numerous occasions for a phone number to call so that I may speak with someone about returning the product and attaining a refund. Every time I asked they either avoid the question and or just drop my session online with them.

If I steal from anyone in the State of New York in the United States, or any other state for that matter, I would be arrested for theft. Why am I allowed to be robbed? Why is someone not being arrested? This hurts and frustrates me and I would like retribution in the form of a refund or a government agency to fine them or shut down the site. These people are thieves and this needs to stop immediatley!

magic jacked worked fine and then static, solved problem... UPGRADE YOUR MODEM!

I have had the Magicjack for close to 2 years now. For the 1st year of service I had no problems i was really great! Then all of a sudden out of no where the phone just started acting up,I didn't know why? I called and tried every trick in the book,calling tech support over and over again. Next thing I know my internet starts acting up,the cable guy comes to my house updates my modem by getting rid of my old modem and giving me a brand new up to date modem.
Then all my problems were solved,what will happen is over time your modem will become obsolete or it cannot keep up with all the upgrades. I guarantee if you upgrade your modem it will be fixed.
Just think about it, alot of people complain that the phone worked just fine for a long time and now they have problems hearing and all the static on the line.
TIME HAS PASSED THAT IS ALL IT IS...
Also check your internet speed online,if it is low that is a sign that your modem cannot keep up anymore.
If you have a problem watching u tube video online and it buffers and stops and you have to wait and wait do not buy the Magicjack. You really must have a good high speed connection for the Magicjack to work well. I would not recommend it if you subscribe to the cheaper -slower high speed.
People with Magicjack problems What kind of high speed do you have and what company? You know some internet companies can prevent you from using a VOIP phone with there service.

If you are having voice quality issues all you need to do is buy a USB port with an adapter. It takes lots of energy from the computer to make a call so when you have a powered usb you don't have to worry about the computers usage. You can buy one for under 7 bucks at EFORCITY.com

Now I don't have to worry about replacing another modem.
