I know this law firm more then I would even want to. I worked with them a short while and, it wasn't long that when I found out that their legal practices are very shady.

They advertise as they will help anyone who has been in a "Car accident" "Insurance claims" or anything else they feel the consumer has been wrongfully cheated. Well the truth is, there isn't any truth to most of the claims they deal with.

There Operation is completly Fraud. They force customers to falsify statements, forge documents, and lie to strenghen their claim against any business. Most people who go to them are suckers looking for free money. There is no upfront retainer, (which most good attorneys charge). They bost up the claims with false and misleading information so they can get the Maximum from the compliant or lawsuit. They take about 40% of the settled amount, so the bigger the falisfication they can create, the bigger the check they get.

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR CONSUMERS AND BUSINESSES. This is the exact reason why Attroneys like her should be held for Frivolous Lawsuits.

The bar should revoke her license to do further investation this law firm. I have also formaly filed a complaint against them with the Texas Bar. I will continue to file my complaint with OIG.

They are a complete fraud, and, if OIG did visit them, they will throw them in Jail.

Van Wey & Johnson Attorney and Counselors at Law

AUTHOR: Van Wey & Johnson, L.L.P. - Dallas (United States of America)

In February 2008 an anonymous report that is critical of the practices of our law firm was filed with Ripoff Report. The attorneys with Van Wey and Johnson have a combined experience level of over four decades representing the rights of victims of medical malpractice, general negligence, discrimination, fraud, and a variety of other wrongs. Experience, expertise, and above all, integrity have been, and will remain, hallmarks of the representation we provide to clients from all racial, socio-economic, and demographic groups. The attorneys of Van Wey and Johnson debated whether any response was required to the allegations made against it by an individual who chose to cloak his identity by simply signing his complaint “John”. After careful consideration of the anonymous attack Van Wey and Johnson determined that if even one person is swayed by the inaccuracies set out in “John’s” report that was one too many. Inaccuracies contained within the complaint are analyzed below. “John” indicates in the first paragraph of his entry that he “worked” with them (presumably Van Wey and Johnson) a short while. The law firm of Van Wey and Johnson has never had an employee by the name of “John” associated with it. Van Wey and Johnson has searched its files for a client named “John” from Garland, Texas, and has been unable to locate any such individual. “John” next asserts, “there isn’t any truth to the most of the claims they deal with” and that our clients as “suckers looking for free money.” “John is invited to sit across the table from the husband, or one of the six children, of a thirty nine year old Collin County woman who died during a minor procedure and tell the grieving family that their claim has no merit and that they are “suckers”. “John” is invited to tell the mother of a healthy six year old boy that a complaint filed when a fire was ignited in his airway during a tonsillectomy has “no truth to it” and that all she is after is “free money.” “John” is invited to defend his statements to a group of young people who were duped into borrowing large sums of money so that they could earn degrees and build better lives just to learn that the school that promised to teach them was a fraud. Van Wey and Johnson has and will continue to zealously represent thousands of individuals and families. “John” claims that most good attorneys charge up-front retainers before they take a case, but that Van Wey and Johnson does not. “John” is correct that we charge no up-front retainer in the vast majority of our cases. Our firm generally enters into contingency fee contracts as do the majority of other firms that fight for the rights of victims. No fees are charged to individuals who are injured until such time as there is a settlement or jury verdict in their favor. In this way Van Wey and Johnson is able to provide representation to persons who would otherwise not be able to seek the assistance of an attorney due to high up-front costs. Van Wey and Johnson is not paid unless we prevail and prove that there is truth to our clients claims. “John” goes on to state that he has filed complaints with the Texas State Bar Association and other official agencies. Van Wey and Johnson has never been notified by any agency of local, state, or federal government that any such complaint has been filed. This person who will not identify himself accuses Van Wey and Johnson of numerous unethical, and even illegal practices. Not a single imagined or real piece of evidence is set forth by this person. It should be noted that while Ripoff Report.com may well serve a valuable public service it does not typically investigate the claims of anonymous complaints like those that “John” has made. The reputation of the clients of Van Wey and Johnson as well as the reputation of the firm itself is extremely important to us. The reader of this response is invited to determine if the claims of “John” have any truth to them.
