William (Bill) Utnehmer, a non practicing attorney boasts a successful and long standing reputation as both attorney and real estate developer in Southern California. The truth is he has multiple victims that he has taken for over 1 Million $$ through various shady contracts, conveniently misguiding victims using his knowledge of contracts and laws.
Bill Utnehmer currently has multiple counties in California with court filings including fraud, real estate foreclosure, and fraudulent lease agreements. Bill Utnehmer has a stealth and stylish floor plan of supposed friends, accomplishments and references, but not one-including his now bankrupt former partner would agree
From former contractors, multiple individuals and banks in Southern California, Utnehmer has certainly proven one fact. He is a scammer. BEWARE of anything that he and his 10 + companies are boasting.

This page was one of the first obtained on William/Bill Utnehmer Attorney-so thought it only fair to provide some insight.
As the rebuttal by an anonymous Utnehmer supporter, I will start by quoting them in defending William Utnehmer.
Minimal investigation will confirm a rich profile of an active, successful businessman as well as a substantial civic and philanthropic contributor to his community.
Our firm was asked to screen Mr. Utnehmer in 2011
as he and my client (real estate developer) had discussed company needs, and so my client in moving forward asked that we develop an idea of Utnehmer's reputation and public record history.
This is a brief overview and why we felt William Utnehmer is purposely deceptive in both nature and practice, engaged in multiple civil and business cases, judgements personally & business related, with growing negative social opinion. I would recommend his long term friend and partner John Kwan, who he destroyed financially well before Bill himself.
Socially William/Bill Utnehmer seems to have a style of saying just enough to engage an investor in contractual agreements, however they feel from that point they were provided little information on progress, misleading answers, and deceptive contractual wording.
Bill Utnehmer used investment funds foolishly both travelling overseas, and maintaining his image to "appear" to be what in fact he was not, yet when the market dropped he was savvy enough to arrange subleasing below market value yet left multiple individuals financially to suffer.

I presented him with a business opportunity back in 09 as I assumed that he was a reputable developer. He ended up stealing the ideaand forming a company with an identical business model. I strongly doubt that he was successful (given that he knew nothing on the industry). It is a shame to see that he has acted similarly with other investors / entrepreneurs
Professionally we found nothing supporting the self promoted claims made by William Utnehmer and his multiple projects, companies and no proof as ever being a successful attorney or developer.
His award at the Waldorf School was presented, however his termination from that position leaves us of the opinion that they too were not impressed.

Considering the amount of court related actions against him we found debtor action to be motivated by his deceptive nature and practice, which Utnehmer explained as strictly a market situation. It was determined Bill Utnehmer fraudulently intended to use banking relationships to extend and cover his failure in trying to profit on others wealth.

The story of Utnehmer buying Rustling Ridge Vineyard in Sonoma was investigated, and found to be false. William & Marie Utnehmer rented there a short time, and have since moved again.
Owner of Rustling Ridge wasn't available to comment on this rumor, but operates a quality business and no evidence of intent to sell was found.
Although Bill Utnehmer has a presentation and style suggesting he has experience and a successful track record, nothing of substance was found to support this.
