Anderson, Crenshaw, & Associates L.L.C. Threatened to affect my credit report if payment wasn't made on canceled account Ripoff Dallas Texas

I received a letter from Anderson, Crenshaw & Associaes, concerning collections on an account with World Wide Travel of Florida. I called and talked to a man there, who refused to listen, stated that according to the contract, I owed World Wide Travel of Florida $278.00. He stated that there were only three ways this was going away. 1 If I paid it, 2 if the Sun didn't rise, and 3 if the moon fell from the sky.

I tried to explain to him that I canceled the contract with World Wide Travel, according to the contract. The day I received the information in the mail, I tried to call World Wide Travel on the toll free number included in the material. No one answered the phone. I immediately returned everything they had sent me, the same day I received it (including the envelope it was sent in), and a letter stating the account number, telling them to cancel the contract, I didn't want their service.

I didn't hear from World Wide Travel until they withdrew funds from my checking account. I canceled the payment, and changed the account number.

Now the male associate from Anderson, Crenshaw & Assocates threated to send this information to the credit bureau, and have my credit report smeared, then he proceeded to end the call rather rudely, by hanging up on me.

I see that not only World Wide Travel is decieteful in their business ventures, but they hire Rude, Threatening law firms to try to recover business that was canceled in accordance with the contract they provided. Perhaps World Wide Travel needs to get their head out of the ground, and find the information returned to them over 4 months ago and get Anderson, Crenshaw & Associates off my back.
