Does your jurisdiction allow either sub service or service by posting? This may be how the person served you. Something to look up before going to far afield.

I am almost certain these are the same ones who "served" me.  I only saw them as I was passing through my living room on the way to take a shower, its a large picture window and I saw her point at me and say "there she is".  They then proceeded to follow me to my open bathroom window where I was showering after nearly having a heat stroke.  I couldn't believe they were that low.  I said I'd call the sheriff and the smart-mouth guy said "i wish you would".

We should get together (there IS strength in numbers) and make noise first to the ombudsmans office at the courthouse, thats what they are there for, and secondly write in to the KC STAR and any other paper, Lee's Summit, Jackson County Advocate.

I've gotten the TV station to help me out on a problem I had and they love stories like this, its what they live for.  If there were more than two people complaining it would have more credibility so write me anybody if you want to join in trying to bring down the judge who is corrupt imo and these slimey process servers.
