This is letter of complaint against EAS, also known as

Expungement Assistance Services (EAS)

207 East Reynolds Rd. Ste. 240

Lexington, KY. 40517

Direct Line: 859.685.3282

Fax: 859.271.1196

Despite payment in full, EAS has:

1)

Failed to live up to their verbal and/or written promises

2)

Made no reasonable, apparent and/or credible action in the expungement of my records

3)

Failed to keep reasonable written/and or verbal contact with me

4)

Possibly taken payment for services they cannot, have not, or will not provide.

5)

Failed to perform their promised service in a timely manner

I understand I am one of many clients who may have similar complaints against EAS, and am requesting the intervention of your agency on our behalf .

This action is not to be interpreted as hostile against EAS or its employees, nor is it in anyway to be interpreted as request to stop the promised service I have paid EAS to perform.

This letter is simply a request for your assistance in securing the services promised by EAS, and investigation into their business practices for the common good of the consumer at large.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Do Not Use Expungement Companies in KY

AUTHOR: Kai - Frankfort (U.S.A.)

I realize the court system can be scary. But there are some things you can do yourself and getting offenses expunged is one of them. I am not sure about other states but I know in KY this is not a difficult process.

The first thing you must do is request a Criminal Background Check from the state's Administrative Office of the Courts. You can call them at 502-573-1682 or find the information online at http://courts.ky.gov/aoc/pretrial/records.htm#how.

Once you have your criminal background you will know which cases are available for expungement. And a quick secret, some Kentucky counties will automatically expunge your record once certain criteria are met especially traffic violations.

Okay, about those criteria. In order for a case to be expunged it must meet certain criteria. The biggie is that is must be a misdemeanor. On your background felonies will have a case number that begins with “CR”. And honestly, if you have a couple or even one felony conviction you are probably not going to get the misdemeanors expunged because it probably is not going to matter anyway.

Back to those criteria, the case you want to be expunged must have been closed for at least five years. That is not five years from the date you were arrested or cited or five years from your last court date. It is five years from the date you completed any and all requirements such as restitution or probation. Oh, and it will probably help if you have not been in any more trouble since then either. Usually that is a deal breaker.

There are a few more criteria but those and the ones listed above can all be found on the form you need to fill out for the courts. It is located here: http://courts.ky.gov/NR/rdonlyres/E3B313A9-9A2C-4F2C-8445-E89475389D10/0/4972.pdf

It costs $25 for EACH charge you want expunged and filed in the county where the charged originated. So if you have one charge in Fayette Co. you wanted expunged it would only cost you $35. That is $10 for your Criminal Background Check and $25 for the expungement. That is all you have to do. If you meet the criteria listed then the judge should sign off on it with no problem.

And another thing, if you do the expungement on your own or through a company, it is a good idea to wait a month or so for everything to be entered and updated and then request a copy of your Criminal Background Check to make sure everything that was supposed to be has been removed.
