Mader Law Group said they would get me a loan modification and they screwed me over! I was told I qualified for a modification and they haven't done anything. They took my money and didn't do anything for me. I had problems getting someone to call me back and answer my questions. I now have a sale date and I am loosing my home! They said not to make any mortgage payments while I was getting a modification and not to worry! BEWARE - SCAM!

HOAX COMPLAINT

AUTHOR: Mader Law - West Palm Beach (United States of America)

I would like to address the recent post on this site. I am an employee of the firm and really find this disturbing. I dont know why someone would provide information for a hoax like this. I would imagine if this was truly happening with our firm, our bar record and A rating with better business bureau would be affected. To date we have an A rating with zero complaints with the BBB and zero complaints with the bar. If this is truly a consumer, I would ask that you provide evidence to the BBB so that it can be reviewed by the BBB and truly see if this is a valid claim. The problem is you have found a site that will publish anything without confirming anything (basically a blog). I imagine you will not provide info on this site or any other site (BBB) to show the validity of your postings.

I decided to include our proof of integrity below which is a firm that investigates these matters (BBB) for individuals that would like to know the truth or if you yourself would like to make a valid claim.

Complaint Follow Up

AUTHOR: Mader Law - West Palm Beach (United States of America)

Well our firm has not heard back from the person placing these reports so I imagine their is an understanding that consumers need to go to a legitimate site to validate these claims like the BBB before they make a decision.

I did find something out which was very concerning about this site in the meantime. When I asked if someone could mediate the validity of this claim, I was told I could join their corporate advocy program for only around 10K and they would address it (that is right I said ten thousand). It makes you wonder about the true goal of this site and WHERE some of these claims just may come from.

Please visit the BBB, a trusted name and site before doing business with anyone.

AUTHOR: Randy - (United States of America)

Complaint Type:  Problems with Product / Service

I also intend on file a complaint with the BBB against Mader Law Group

AGAIN ANOTHER HOAX COMPLAINT

AUTHOR: Mader Law - West Palm Beach (United States of America)

It is extremely concerning that none of these complaints ever come out of the closet. I have provided the BBB link in the previous listing so that you may file a legitimate complaint and have it verified.

You are quite correct. The firm has obtained ONLY 3 complaints in the last year and has settled them sufficiently while maintaining and "A" rating with the BBB which means they were settled and BOTH parties were satisfied. It is extremely hard maintaining a rating like this while servicing 42 states with the volume of customers we have. If you find another firm that has 0 complaints and can maintain these standards, I say go for it because I commend them.

We are in another predictament though as we see none of these complaints come to life with no response while the RIP OFF REPORT has a banner across the top about helping a BUSINESS and not a consumer fix there reputation and guess what, they will help you with that for a mere 10K.

I think we will stick with a long standing recoginized name like the BBB whom mediates their claims without trying to extort the business they list for large fees.

Florida Not Happy With Horizon Financial and Mader Law Group

AUTHOR: Randy - (United States of America)

According to the Sun Sentinel out of Florida, the Florida AG is investigating a Florida debt relief company, Horizon Financial.   According to state allegations the company was engaged in making
solicitation calls that mislead and deceived consumers into thinking they were dealing with a U.S. Treasure Department foreclosure assistance program, when they were not.

Horizon Financial CEO Sean Batcheler offered this clarifying statement.Horizon CEO Sean Batcheler said the Attorney General has asked to meet with company officials about how they were servicing
clients but did not give any more details. Batcheler said Horizon never made spoofing calls under the fund’s name or number, and has not done mortgage loan modification work for more than a year.“We are strictly debt settlement now. And there are quite a few unscrupulous people in that business,” he said.

The Florida AG’s office is also looking to issues surrounding alleged
advanced or upfront fees being charged for foreclosure services. The
Mader Law Group. Tampa attorney Eric Mader is also the manager of
American Financial Law Group.

Why The BBB Has A High Rating Of Mader Law

AUTHOR: Randy - (United States of America)

The following is an email that I received back from the Better Business Bureau regarding the Mader Law Group.  The reason that MLG wants everyone to look at their BBB rating is because the BBB does not handle most of the complaints that I've seen against Mader Law Group, therefore, the complaints do not go against their rating.

"Complaint ID#: 67217469

Business Name: Mader and Associates

Thank you for contacting BBB regarding your complaint. The complaint was received by BBB on January 26, 2012 and has been assigned case # 67217469 in our files.

We regret to inform you that we cannot process your complaint. The case has been reviewed by one of our complaint specialists and was found to contain issues that are outside of BBB's purview."

WHY AN A RATING REBUTTAL

AUTHOR: Mader Law - West Palm Beach (United States of America)

In response to all the complaints that come from one individual "Randy". It is pretty clear to see that this is nothing more than a poor attempt to slander a business.

NOW YOU ARE SAYING THAT THE BBB IS SCAMING PEOPLE AND NOT REPORTING THE TRUTH!! COME ON!!

I think you really have a low opinion of peoples intelliegnece and it is absolutely a shame.

If you were indeed in the light of truth, I dont think the BBB would reject your claims. I am guessing the Bar record is now a hoax too.

Absolutely Incredible

AUTHOR: Randy - (United States of America)

First and foremost, the truth is not slanderous.

The following is an excerpt from an email I received from a guy by the name of Sean Batcheler who says he works for Mader Law Group regarding the complaints I've posted against them:

"This is in regards to your recent complaint and continuous complaints. We were in the process of looking at refund but we are pretty guarded for the fact you have continuously posted negative comments without even discussing a solution or possible refund.  The firm is in the process of filing a lien on your property to prevent any modification attempts if you do not cease and desist with slander of the business. The lien will include all fees incurred for damage and tortuous interference of a business, which shall include any loss of business.  Please respond immediately or the firm WILL be filing a lien on the property and providing it to your lender within the next five days as to prevent any modification attempts until all attorney’s fees and case is settled in court."

I find it amazing that, first they take your money, don't get you the loan mod and don't communicate at all, then second, when you complain, they threaten to put a lien are the very thing you are trying to save.   Sean Batcheler, who by the way is not an attorney, he works for Mader Law Group but is a real estate agent for Century 21 Horizon Properties Bluffs, which I find peculiar since he is a real estate agent working for a law firm that is supposed to be saving homes from foreclosure.

State officials are warning homeowners about foreclosure help  websites mimicking the government-sponsored page for Florida's Hardest Hit Fund. The more than $1 billion federal program aimed at helping unemployed and underemployed homeowners is expected to open for applications statewide this month. It is overseen by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation, which has created a website to apply at www.flhardesthithelp.org.  But other groups have picked up on the opportunity to make money from those seeking help from the Hardest Hit program, creating websites that are similar in appearance or have similar web addresses."Florida Housing has identified several 'imposter' and 'copycat' websites posing as HHF application sites," a posting warns on the housing corporation's website.  The Mader Law Group, based in West Palm Beach, has created a site with a similar address to the official Hardest Hit program. The group's site includes no information about the law firm or phone number.A banner across the top of the site says "Florida Hardest Hit Homeowners Help," and it has an online application that requests personal information. There is a small disclaimer at the bottom of the site saying it is not affiliated with the government program.  Steve Ware, who said he is a senior executive with the Mader Law Group, said if someone contacts the firm through the site, it assesses the person's eligibility for the Hardest Hit program for free.If the homeowner is eligible, Ware said they are referred to the legitimate website. If not, the homeowner is told about foreclosure alternatives that the law firm offers for a fee. There is no need for homeowners to be screened for eligibility prior to applying for the program. For Florida's Hardest Hit Fund call (877) 863-5244.
