Allright, let me start off by saying that this company has gone by many other names in the past. Here is a link to another ripoff report for the same company:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/glass-repair-shops/port-city-promotions/port-city-promotions-vanguard-b8638.htm#

I am certain that this is the same company as "C.A.I." because:
1. They have the same address, including suite number.
(Except the old address is 1662, now it is 1660)
2. They have the same phone number except for the last digit.
3. The report that "scamrevealer" wrote is completely identical to my experience.

Here is a link to the craislist ad I replied to:

http://charleston.craigslist.org/sls/3071549985.html

The ad on craigslist says they have "marketing" jobs. They also said that training would be provided and paid. Lastly they said that compensation was "salary+comission".

After an extensive and strange interview process I was slyly informed that the pay was only commission, until I was promoted to "manager" in a few months, which lead me to wonder how i would be paid for training since I can't sell anything until I know how to.

In hindsight, the whole thing stank. They have no sign. They were interviewing people constantly. That's all they do at their front office. After I got the job I realized that the other people who were interviewing got it too. The "manager" had lofty promises that I could make six figures in 5 months, and everyone was required to "advance" to become "account managers" and "assistant managers" etc... so there was no way that I could just be a salesman. I quickly occurred to me that this was not a legitimate business. It kind of seems like a pyramid scheme, wherein one person is hired- he or she learns how to push auto-glass repairs door to door, acting like they are part of "landmark windshield pros" even though they've never heard of them, and that same person is expected to "train" somebody else within a week or so to spout the same garbage that they just learned.

Here's a quote from the "Port City Promotions" ripoff report that is exactly what I experienced on my first day, "If you happen to take make the mistake of taking their employment, you will be subject to being trained in their "atmosphere" room. This is a room where you will be taught to lie, and you had better bring plenty of vocal chords with you because they play the radio loud so unaware potential employees sitting in the waiting room cannot hear what's going on. From the waiting room area, it sounds like people are having fun, but in reality, if you work for them, then you will quickly discover that everything I am saying here is nothing more than cold hard facts!"

I checked out the business info of "landmark windshield pros", the company they have their employees act like they represent. And I found that the LLC is listed as "foreign" and was started on 3/29/2012. I'm not sure what the foreign thing is about but the recent date makes me think that this company is just a changed name to keep people from catching on. Here's a link to their business info:

http://www.sos.sc.gov/index.asp?n=18&p=4&s=18&corporateid=645733

And here is a link to their website, which I noticed is very vague in stating their purpose and also very poorly designed for a company that is supposedly in marketing.

http://caicharleston.com/about_us.html

So basically, do not work for C.A.I. Charleston, as they call themselves now, unless you don't mind working for a deceptive, possibly fraudulent, commission pay only job with long unpaid hours, empty, get rich quick promises and frequently illegal solicitation practices. Avoid this place like the plague.
