I was hired and went through orientation with approximately 70 - 85 people. We were told we would be paid $170.00 per training day (2) and $20.00 each day for food allowance as we worked several hours. They were processing claims for Allstate Insurance for the Catastrophe in the east from Hurricane Sandy. after training we were told we would be receiving $15/hr as we worked 11 hours per day for over a week.  We were also told we would have direct deposit to our accounts on Friday Nov. 9, 2012.

Well Friday came and went with No Deposit. I called the office to be placed on hold several times finally I was out through to the Finance department where Mark was a smart a*s on the telephone to me even before I had a chance to tell whay I was calling, which tells me something right there. After speaking to him ,he informed me I was wrong, I mis-understood how I was paid, however all 75-80 of us wrote this down in their employee handbook.

I was told by Mark we would be receiving a check for 1 day of training, and then next week for the other day of training and then the remainder at a later date. I'm sorry ther eis nothing I can do B.S.  I finally went to the local office in Richardson Texas off Arapaho and 75, as they have offices in Hudson ohio and Headquartered in Mobile Alabama, only to find out all the trainers have left town back to Ohio and the employees there were told they were left go because they just were not receiving the calls they thought they would be receiving.

I applied to work for CMS in July of 2010. I didnt get called in till August of 2011 where we started out at $13 an hour. I held a Texas Adjusters licence at the time and many other job related credentials. I drove over 100 miles a day after working 10-13 hour days. After 30 day we got a $0.50 raise and that continued till we hit the $15 an hour mark. We never got a food allowance. I had to wait 30 day till my direnct deposit kicked in. I worked as an Adjuster Asssist and Adjuster Buddy on and off untill October 2012.

When the new people came in and started at $15 with no time in or experience my self and others who had been there as long as me felt cheated. Almost all of them came from a temp agency and had no proir experience working in the insurance claims industry. I ended up promoting to CMS's parent compant and currently work as an Adjuster. I left CMS and went to New Jersy to work claims in November 2012.I loved working there. I worked my butt off and because of that they kept me employed when possible and took care of me as long as I was doing well at my job.

Who ever is complaining has nothing to complain about. You started at $15, i had to earn mine. You had no experience, I had to learn mine. The only people who got a flat daily rate were team leaders who had been there longer than any one off the street that came in for Hurricane Sandy.
