Go Beyond PR is a major rip off. The owner of this company will take your money for "gifting lounges" and spend it on only God knows what. She has vendors paying $500-$1000 dollars on "star studded" gifting lounges and not only do celebrities not show up but she walks in and blames other people for her mistakes. Heidi Payton is a scam artist. She blew my money on a "event" and has nothing to show for it. I think she spent my money on her personal needs.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Who's Disgruntled? Girl, please.

AUTHOR: DomDavison - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, February 24, 2013

If there is anything that gives me a good laugh its reading that I'm a disgruntled ex-employee. Ha. Look, I will say, I learned a lot from the owner of GBPR. On the surface, the business is so amazing. The owner seems well connected, she seems genuine, like someone you can trust. She comes off as really wanting to make sure that you are well learned once you leave GBPR. Only, later, you come to realize that she ain't nothing but a fabulous bullshitter. I mean FAB! She had me, the publicity executor, all these vendors, AND the AHA thinking she was on top of her game. (ALL of whom I still keep in contact with and ALL of which have told me they haven't received a refund). P.S: Offering to give someone 30%-50% off your next gifting lounge isn't a refund.

"Most of these sponsors made the decision to remain with GBPR as a repeat sponsor for our future events, while others have actually signed as official GBPR clients." THIS is just ANOTHER lie told by GBPR's owner. And if you gained a sponsor or two as a client after this event, good for you. I hope they know what they are getting themselves into. Let's just call a spade a spade. These people want there money back and the truth is GBPR's owner doesn't have it. Whatever she spent it on, I hope it serves you well because we all know it didn't go towards: tables, security, an exclusive mansion, a truck to get furniture, or anything that you promised these vendors.

Moral of the story is, before you work with her, contact the wonderful sponsors from her GRAMMY gifting lounge and ask how they thought the event went and what they think of GBPR as a company. Reach out to the CEO of Women in PR and let her hip you to what's REALLY going on. Contact the gallery owner who didn't speak highly of GBPR's owner, and the numerous other people who advised me to walk away, quickly, from GBPR.

Just for the record, I'm not disgruntled nor am I seeking attention. I joined GBPR because I enjoy helping people, I love to see people succeed, which is what I thought we were doing. This experience has taught me a lot. Just know that KARMA is REAL. And GOD don't like UGLY. And the owner of GBPR is UGLY, inside and out.

I didnt hear anything about a refund

AUTHOR: PR_Perfectionist - (United States of America)

I was a vendor and no one called me about a refund. The other employees were fine and very helpful. Upon meeting the owner she didn't seem to care that everything didn't go as planned. I still keep in contact with other vendors and they are still unsatisfied

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Incident Compensation Was Served To All Dissatisfied Customers (Disgruntled Ex Employee)

AUTHOR: Small Business Owner - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Dear Consumers,

I want to personally apologize to our event sponsors this event for the way their product was handled and the actions of anyone representing the GBPR brand on this particular event. At GBPR we strive to become a
paramount firm to bring recognition to its represented brands may it be a single event or a full length campaign. With the launch of our 2nd Annual Rock Out Gifting Lounge last week, we fell short on this
commitment.  We are extremely sorry for the frustration this has cause our affected sponsors and are doing everything we can to make it better.

Since our event last week I have devoted my time to speak with each sponsor involved; seeing to their needs one by one, because they are what matters most here. Despite line 8* in our vendor contracts we have we have offered refunds to our affected sponsors.  Many of our sponsors were impressed by our client management and the exterior turn out of the event over all.  Most of these sponsors made the decision to remain with GBPR as a repeat sponsor for our future events, while others have actually signed as official GBPR clients.

GBPR holds many successful events throughout California and on this particular event learned a valuable lesson about staffing that many small businesses learn in their early years.  We definitely take full accountability for how much responsibility and trust we assert to our new hires. Although I am almost positive this very claim was posted by a particular disgruntle employee seeking attention; it is understood that the focus has and will continue to remain on what is most important in this matter, our valued customers and sponsors.  I would like to add the charity involved was very pleased with the events outcome and benefited greatly, we take pride in our ongoing relationships. The charity received many celebrity signed memorabilia at this event as we delivered.

(**Line8 in contract reads:

8. Vendor hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Host against any damages or claims that may arise in connection with Vendors presence at the Event and Vendors activities of any kind. )

Best regards,

Small Business Owner
