I lived out of state when my mom found this group home for my brother/he has epilipsy & walks w/walker, wears helmet from so many falls.  He can't work or take care of himself.  They advertise a list of activities, group trips, "well-balanced meals" etc.  Since I've been visiting there, twice I complained about the bathroom sinks being filled with nasty water which wouldn't drain.  The bathroom floor was filthy. The house is dark & depressing.  In February, they were without heat (during the snow-days) for at least 10 days (waiting on a part for the unit???)

They missed his last 2 dr. appts at the VA - they are supposed to take him to all appts.

The owner has a PIT BULL in the backyard and said it's "a trained AID dog".

From talking to my brother & other residents, I found they NEVER serve milk, salad, fresh fruit - and if they did have vegetables, they were canned.

I just took over my brother's bank account and found that $7,000 has been removed by one of the workers at the group home (don't know who else is involved).  This person charged products to my brother's debit account and somebody made thousands of dollars worth of ATM withdrawals.  Since my brother is disabled & sleeps alot, it was easy to get his card out of his wallet.
PS - Larry who works there is great.

Disute of Accuracy to Report that was Filed

First of all the accuracy of this statement is all out of line with reality. Just because you're angry doesn't mean you overexaggerate a story just to be noticed. My husband and I have been in business since 2007 and we are regulated by DADS, LSC, and THHS if all these things were going on then we wouldn't still be in business.

Secondly it was brought to our attention about an employee taking advantage of a resident. The employee was placed on leave pending the investigation and once the investigation was complete the employee was terminated based on our findings and those of the courts. The ex-employee was always ordered to pay restittution in said amount ordered by the courts.

We at In Milords Hands do not uphold wrong and we're are offended that it would even stated otherwise. Our clients receive 3 hot meals prepared daily along with two snacks. They have periodic outings, just because we dont take them on outings everyday, doesn't mean that we are lacking in the services we provide. We have clients that have been with us since 2007. We are constantly getting referrals and accepting other VA clients, CBA, CCDA, as well as Private Pay. So, we are seriously apalled that such a claim would be made without sustantiation of evidence, then on top of that it was printed. Then you turn around andsay some are great but you bash the entire facility.
