Julie Abrams has represented my child with her DREAMSCOPE MANAGEMENT GROUP company in Los Angeles for this last year. I initially made her acquaintance two months prior to that when I was introduced to her over lunch with a mutual business associate. I am happy to share our personal experience for the last 14 months in regards to Julie (Zazueta) Abrams.

Julie is professional. From the start, I was impressed with Julie's professionalism, and she has not disappointed us along this line. She has demonstrated total decorum in regards to the entertainment industry. She even instructs her clients on "do's and don'ts" of the business. She strives to maintain professionalism in every aspect of her work and presentations.

Julies is both knowledgeable and capable. I have been very impressed with her first-hand knowledge of the entertainment industry. She has wonderful contacts in all areas of the business. She provides her clients with on-the-edge contact info. From hairdressers, photographers, printers, coaches, and casting director/workshops, etc. (All of whom have spoken very highly of Julie even when she is not present.) Julie knows what an actor needs to succeed in this business and she give very capable advise as to attining the necessary training, personal appearance and a well rounded resume. Making all the tools necessary accessible to her clients.

Julie is dependable. She has made herself available at all times for any emergency. When she has had to be out of town on a trip, she sees that office personnel are available to carry on her office activities and provide assistance to her clients. She is quick to return phone calls and emails. If she doesn't have an answer to something, she will research and is prompt to get back to us.

Julie is honest. She has been consistently transparent and honest in every aspect of our business relationship. On a personal level, I have found her to be open and transparent. On a business level, I have found her to be very honest where finances are concerned. She has NEVER tried to take advantage of us. She has been reasonable. She has been content to have all monies channeled through our talent agency and then receive payment from us after we have received a cut check from our agency. I always provide her with a copy of the check statement along with her commission check, and we have NEVER had a disagreement where money is concerned.

Julie respects her clients. Being the parent of a monor actor, I have had to say "no" to projects and optional expenses on occasion. Whether the reason was influenced by personal preference, or by financial limitations, Julie has consistently stated, "the final decision is always yours". She has never pressured me or made me uncomfortable, but has respected our career decisions.

Julie is optimistic and kind. We all know (or learn) that the entertainment industry is extremely competitive and stressful, and can be riddled with disappointments. Julie has consistently proven herself to be optimistic. Countless times Julie has taken the time to encourage us to move beyond discouragement, and to remain hopeful and determined. She handles stress and disappointment in a very optimistic manner.

One occasion that illustrates this is when on a particular day my child was scheduled for two different auditions. Both auditions were for episodes on major networks. I had never been to either casting locations and somehow my research misinformed me with directions. I got lost trying to find the first audition, I called Julie and she advised me to go on to the second audition, which I did. Meanwhile, Julie called and got better directions for me, and the casting directors agreed to see my child at a later time. Traffic was horrendous and it was pouring rain. We made it to the second audition, then headed back to the first one, however between the late afternoon Hollywood traffic and the downpour of rain, we missed the casting directors by a matter of minutes. I was extremely disappointed and stressed. I called Julie in tears of frustration and Julie's response to me blew me away. She said, "That's ok. Don't feel bad. You did your best. It couldn't be helped. Don't worry, there will be many more auditions to come." I felt so much better after talking to Julie. Julie is a kind, loving person, who cares more about people than profit. (By the way, Julie called an hour later telling me that my child got callback for the second audition!)

In closing, I would like to testify that in the 12 months that we have been with Julie's management (since summer 2005), my child's acting ability has improved by 50% and my child's resume has increased by 80%.

We plan to continue with Julie Abrams and DREAMSCOPE MANAGEMENT GROUP, and would highly recommend her and her company to any and all who aspire to succeed in the acting business.

I have been working with Julie for the past 4 years. There is nothing bad I could say about her. She is professional manager with essence and class. She worked with my daugther and help her acheive her goals. This is a sad story to see how people can said bad thing about a nice person like Julie. As a professional if you really was scammmed why don't you call her since you do have all her info fixed the matters. In my daughter behave I will say julie is the nicest person we ever met in the Model and acting industry. If you looking for professional, friendly, family oriented, and a manager who really care I will suggest Julie.


Because of Julie my daughter is so flawless in her carrier specially for her age at 12 years old to be in more than 20 magazines, 6 fashions shows, 2 big fashions commercial prints with Dolce Cabana ,Saks Fiths Avenue and a movie.

Please give me a brake about all these nonsense comment about julie.She is one of the best on the industry now.

No Problems with Julie

My daughter has been a client of Julie's for over a year now. We have never had a problem with Julie. She is a great manager and works very hard to promote her clients.

In the past year my daughter has had on average about 3-4 auditions a week. That is due to Julie's hard work and dedication.

And with Julie's coaching and advice on coaches my daughter has booked several jobs including a feature film, several short films and a TV episode. Every casting director that she auditions for loves her. So Julie is doing something right.

If you get the chance to be one of Julie's clients you should take it as you will be hard pressed to find anyone willing to work for you as hard as she does.

Are you interested in being represented by a dedicated, caing, professional woman who works around the clock for her clients?

My 8 year old daughter has a manager who continually guides her with professional, honest advice, trains her with the latest acting/audition techniques, submits her and gets auditions with all the major networks and top casting directors.

This manager treats my daughter with respect, love, and truly believes in her talent as an actress. She has great communication with the parents of her child clients, and produces many clients who book work all over the country.

So, do you want the name of this outstanding, wonderful, dedicated manager?

Wow! I hardly know where to begin. I arrived in L. A. from a med/small town in the midwest with my son and daughter who were dying to get in show biz. I was skeptical, knew no one here, but I wanted to give them at least the opportunity to try.

I had a few phone numbers, and friends who referred friends of friends, agents, managers, acting teachers etc...

We met with 14 different people in the industry, and by far the one that the kids and I felt the most comfortable with was - Julie. From day one, she never ever, EVER asked for one penny for anything, and has worked harder than I could have ever imagined a manager would in this business. I have met other Moms now ( lots and lots actually) and none of them can believe how often my kids go out on auditions, how available Julie is at any hour of the night or day to answer, any and all of my "stupid" questions about this crazy business, and how much she cares about my kids as people and as aspiring young actors with very little experience. The best part is - I have seen them gain a confidence and an energy I didn't even know they had - AND their grades are even better!

I can say after working with her for over a year now I have never met someone I would trust more with my kids. Even their Dad - (who is skeptical of anyone from LA in the biz )- he has come out here to visit as often as he can- LOVES HER!

Nothing negative to say about Julie

I'm currently working with Julie, and I must say that she has been very helpful in every respect! I cannot say that these outrageous claims are true or false, but she has never asked for money from me, nor has she made me sign anything. And despite this she's helping me out and spending a lot of time furthering my career, including helping me get my visa!

I'm very satisfied with her, and it's very sad to see these accusations posted against her. Obviously you have her contact info, and you should try to resolve this issue privately with her rather than spread slander like this online.
It undermines your credibility.

I have just read some of the comments about Julie and the "alleged" rip-offs that occurred in Florida.

First of all I find it hard to believe that comments like this can be made without confirming that what is being said is fact. This can truly damage someone's career not to mention their clients careers, it's a selfish move on a couple of individuals.

My daughter has been with Julie for a while now and through Julie's workshops has not only raised the level of her talent enormously but her self confidence as well. If it hadn't been for Julie we would have been lost when we went to California. She did everything for us but literally hold our hand through everything that we had to learn. Julie set up opportunities for my daughter that otherwise would have been impossible for us, she suggested to us what coaches to use, which by the way all of them turned out to be great and well known.

Once we returned to Texas for the off season, she continued to work for us, and my daughter has had many audition opportunities even though we weren't in California at the time. Not to mention the fact that she also found us a great agent in the Texas area.

I cannot verbalize enough how pleased we are to have Julie as a manager as well as a friend now. She truly works hard for her clients and does not deserve to be treated this way.

Shame on whoever has made these allegations against her.

As a former employee of Julie Zazueta's company, Inner Focus Talent LLC, I will tell it like it is. At least from my point of view.

Julie didn't neccessarily "rip off" her management clients, she simply failed to follow through with the committments she made as a personal manager. As for the clients who paid for workshops and never got what they paid for... who knows if Julie will actually pay these people back? In my experience working for her, I will say that Julie is an exceptional speaker... she is not quite as gifted at actually doing what she says. It would be an understatement to say that Julie has not kept her word in the past.

However, I would say rather that she "ripped off" her staff.

We sometimes worked seven days a week and were not even permitted a lunch break. We worked overtime hours and were never once compensated for overtime. We went for months at a time without getting paid, while Julie was living in a penthouse on the beach and driving a Jaguar. We were responsible for scrubbing the floors, taking out the trash, cleaning the toilets, and relaying lies to bill collectors and creditors over the phone. WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR W-2 TAX FORMS FROM JULIE.

Were were expected to "scout" talent when we were not on the clock, and if we did not produce 10 "leads" a week from this often fruitless scouting, our jobs were threatened. (Mind you, we were REQUIRED to scout as a part of our job, yet we were never paid for the time we spent scouting or for the gas we needed to put in our cars to scout places as far from the office as Miami or West Palm Beach -the office was in Weston)

Some of us were promoted with the promise of a raise and never got a raise.

Although we rarely got paid on time, we were expected to have enough money to buy nice clothes for work, come to work with our hair done, our nails done and our make-up done. Some of us couldn't afford to eat or pay our rent, let alone go shopping or to the salon to meet Julie's requirements.

We were verbally insulted by Julie in the presence of clients.

She once threw a stapler at an employee infront of potential clients and demanded that the employee fill it immediately. (There was a full box of staples sitting right next to Julie's hand on the top of her desk at the time of the incident. The employee ran to the bathroom in tears, after being thoroughly humiliated. Not to mention having a stapler THROWN at her.)

She once instructed another one of her employees to go to the bathroom and cover the "bags under eyes" before she came back out.

When one of her most loyal employees finally saw the light and made the decision to resign and cash in her last paycheck, Julie used this person as the scapegoat for her own tremendous failures. She accused this person of "running off with the company's money" and claimed that this was the reason why the company had to close. No one should believe this malicious lie.

So why did any of us stay working for this woman as long as we did? That is a good question indeed. I don't think any of us have a good answer to match it. We believe we were manipulated so incredibly that we actually didn't realize how horrrible the situation was until one by one, we snapped back to reality and resigned from the company. Even if Julie didn't file bankrupsy and close down the company, she wouldn't have had a staff to operate it. We were used. No one should ever use a person the way we were used.

So, scam artist? Maybe that is not the best term to describe Julie as a talent manager. But if anyone wants some good advice on whether or not to befriend the woman or, God forbid, WORK for the woman.... I would say RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if you're a scam or not, but I have run into a scammer talent agency in FL long ago..not yours.

Seems like you ran into someone who, like half the people who audition for American Idol, think they have talent and are as horrible as it comes.

People do not see themselves in the light that others see them in, so they obviously may not know they aren't talented and truly believe they are. After all...a retarded person does not know they are retarded, do they? ;-)

Seems like you have the accolades and awards due of someone who is legit...can't tell from here but if I ever get to LA I'll look you up.

It is an insult to Julie and her incredibly hard working staff who all gave hundreds of hours a week and everything they had to provide the best opportunities for their clients, ALWAYS GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP THIER CLIENTS, to even say her school was a scam. Julie and her staff changed so many lives and received so much thanks and praise from their clients and respect from the Entertainment Community in LA. No one ever stole from their clients, ever.

Since the closing of the school in January there are currently make-up workshops being scheduled for the beginning of 06 for those who did not get to finish their classes before the school closing. The clients contracts did not have a time requirement and every client or staff member who was ever owed anything will recieve everything as promised.

In just the three years Ms Zazueta owned her school in Florida HER CLIENTS BOOKED OVER 300 JOBS IN TELEVISION, FILM AND PRINT, SHE WAS ABLE TO GET 125 CLIENTS FROM HER SHCOOL SIGNED WITH TOP AGENTS IN LOS ANGELES AND HER SHCOOL WON THE PRESTIGIOUS "SCHOOL OF THE YEAR" AWARD AT THE ANNUAL LOS ANGELES TALENT COMPETITION, BEST NEW TALENT, WHERE TOP SCHOOLS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY GO TO COMPETE, AND JULIE'S SCHOOL WON SCHOOL OF THE YEAR EVERY YEAR!

Julie's school went out of business as she also owned a Talent Management Company in LA and could no longer continue to own and operate both.
