This company that has the BIG BLUEBIRD on the trucks and Kristi in Human resources said I didn't follow company ploicy-but didnt say what. This company is not a driver friendly company and CARES LESS about YOU as a driver.
Dont be fooled by their advertisments-it looks good on paper, they talk a good story, but actions speak LOUDER than words.I followed all company policies but when they (Bluebird) doesn't follow company policies,no one else can do their job correctly. This company has 2 standards-their way or no way. This company put me on probation-cause everytime I requested hometime I was LATE getting home usally 2 or 3 days-and company says "GIVE A TWO WEEK NOTICE" as I always done-so I had to extend my hometime to make my appointmets I'd made 3 weeks or a month prior to getting home.

I live in the middle of the country where freight comes and goes east and west and north and south across the USA.
If you like working for FREE sweeping out trailers that other drivers drop dirty-sitting at truckstops getting trailers repaired-that other drivers drop defective-and working on their trailers at shippers when other drivers drop defective-refeers that wont start-then this is the place for you.BLUEBIRD EXPECTS you to follow company policies-but they are EXEMPT from that."EXPECT THE BEST" you get everything else but the BEST!! BLUEBIRD needs to learn how to give back in return-instead of drivers doing all the giving. THINK BEFORE YOU DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, there is an industry wide problem with unprofessional drivers who think it isn't part of their job to clean the trailers after every load, or to report and have repaired mechanical defects with trailers.  Marten is not unique with that problem, by any stretch.  Thanks to those of us who actually did something about that, the problem is nowhere near as bad here at Marten, though it's still a problem.

Of course, experienced drivers know this is a problem, with every company, usually involving inexperienced and/or plain lazy drivers who refuse to do anything unless paid very well to do it (and sometimes not even then).  Marten's the only company I'm aware of that has actually taken steps to deal with the problem, including providing a report macro on the Qualcomm for damaged, filthy, or otherwise non-operational trailers.  Yes, we still have to deal with the problems, but the driver that dropped it that way now faces serious consequences, up to and including termination.
