I was contacted in March of 2011, about selling my joint owned timeshare. I talked it over with my mother and we decided to sell. The listing price was a little steep ( $2200.00) but we decide to go ahead and list, with the paper work stating that the average selling time was 180 days. However, we thought since they had an approved buyer that it would be a done deal within 90 days. Wrong!

 23 months later and two attempts within the last 6 months to scam more money out of me. If Universal Timeshare calls you hang up immediately! Supposedly the first buyer finally fell through after drag on for 20 months of excuse after excuse ( which I had already told them to find another buyer). Now supposedly there is another approved buyer, I am not holding my breath. I was taught a very expensive lesson; if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is not true.

As to the additional scam's; the person that calls has access to all your information, tells you the buyer has made the purchase. 1st attempt the scam artist tried telling me that I owed $3000 in closing cost to finalize the deal ( not true), 2nd attempt was for $500 to get the money that was supposedly owed me out of escrow. Now for any reading this and hopefully you already know, never ever send money Western Union to some. It is the same as handing them cash and can not be traced.

I did however, get the fool to email me supposed documents concerning the supposed money owed and closing of the sell. My next step is the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General. Neither will probably do me any good, however if I can cause the company a little trouble it will be worth it. This is why I call them every month and listen to their lies and tell them as much. An also ask for my money back, again I know it doesn't do any good, but gives me something to do on my hour commute to work.
