Ameriloan- Payday Loan - ameriloan.com Enticed me to borrow money promising that the interest rate is not high. I borrowed $200 and they took $60.00 and then the loan went up to $260.00. I called the 1-800 and requested that they let me access my account so that I could pay it off. The customer service rep would not give me a physical address of where they were located. I thought that if I paid it off early the amount would be less Internet

I was in need of a small loan and found ameriloan through the internet. I borrowed $200 and they took $60 out of my account and I found that I owed them more than I had borrowed. I tried to find out their physical address and the customer representative would not give it to me. I then told them I wanted it to pay it off and found that I had to pay $260.00; this was after they had already deducted a $60 payment from my account. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Close your checking account immediately, and don't ever fall for this again. I got into this mess about 5 years ago...I was a student, needed rent and bill money. I thought this sounded like a great solution. I WAS WRONG - ended up paying about $900 on a $200 loan.
These payday loan companies are basically just legal loansharking - fortunately I don't think they would win on any litigation if you refuse to pay them more than what was owed at a reasonable interest rate. I don't think they even report to the credit bureaus.
