Clifford Skidmore may or may not be doing this. If he has then he has been pretending to be my girlfriend Laura Frame by emailing me and asking for money. Now I am not 100% sure if he has been doing this. I could very well be Laura asking for money and I do that for her because I love her truly and dearly. But that is our business. Laura, if it is really her, said that she will repay me but it hasn't been done yet. So I need your help to think this thing through.

Please let me know if you have only communicated with her via email. If so, she probably does not exist, and the whole thing is a scam.

I have met Laura actually. Only problem is I haven't saw her since September and yes I am in love with her. I only have been communicating with her via email and she says she will get a cell phone eventually. From what I heard she is divorcing her husband and she is as of now staying in Hazard, Kentucky to hide out from him. She says in the emails she really loves, if that's really her of course. She did mention an existing street address in one of the emails however which is 1550 E. Main St. in Hazard. Now don't get me wrong I really do love her and if that's really her and if she wants me then I am more than willing to be with her. She said she will repay once she gets a government check she is waiting on.

Dude - I know you will not do this, but I have to at least try: get out of this relationship. There are two possible things that are going on here:
1) The entire thing is a scam. If you have met her only once, or a few times, this could be the case. Doubly so if you have met her online. If you met her because she sent you an email unsolicited, it is assured the whole thing is a scam. There will be repeated requests for money, and always an excuse (had to run from husband, no cell phone, etc), If it is such a scam, you will not only lose your money, but it will break your heart.
2) It is not a scam. In this case you have a married woman who has to "hide" from her husband. If he exists, he will most definitely come into the picture later, and it will not be pleasant. The woman herself is obviously quite poor, as she is waiting on a government check, cannot afford a cellphone (who can't afford a cellphone?), etc. The fact that there is drama in her current relationship means there will be drama in yours. I've lived long enough to know bad news when I see it.
If you want, I can probably give you insight as to what is going on if you forward me all of your correspondence. Since you don't know me, you probably don't want to, which makes total sense (*I* sure as heck would not send intimate emails to a complete stranger). If you *do* want a second opinion, however, I can be contacted at Rocky.Stevens[at]gmail[dot]com

I figured out that it actually was a scam and I would like to file a police report. Now will it actually be feasible to file a report.

It never hurts to try. I take it the girl herself was a scam, not just some guy imitating her? Usually these originate from Senegal or Nigeria, but you said that you actually met the woman once, yes?
I'm sorry you got taken; it happens to a lot of people.

I have met her several times. I think Cliff actually scammed me. Laura had nothing to do with it.
