I use paypal for quick payment.  Sold a gold necklace due to lack of funds for my rent this month.  (Car brakes replaced, $200. vet fee and a $150. doctor fee for myself).  Was looking for an instant payment, which I expected through paypal.  Never knew that they accepted e-checks that may take 9 days to clear and cost me $5.  If I wanted to accept checks I would have at ebay.  I needed payment so used paypal.  I have yet to find a place where I can block "e-checks" from paypal on either paypal or ebay, as a form of payment.  The manager at paypal was at a loss for words. I don't feel that I owe paypal $5. for this.  The only option was to cancel the transaction, which I did. This is a rip-off and I am mad!  Martha
