Raider Fortier Puppy Scam in Augusta leads to a costly tranfer of funds to Cameroon Yaounde, Internet

    I am a single mother and work for an outreach program. I hardly ever use the internet to buy anything. I was looking for a Yorkie puppy for my 17 year old daughter. She lost her dog over a year ago. I entered Augusta Yorkie puppies. A link came up for two free yorkie puppies looking for good home. I sent my e-mail information and the person claiming to be from the Augusta area sent me a response. She also sent a e-mail asking me how big my home was, personal things like if it was puppy friendly? If I had ever cared for a puppy before and the name of my vet so she could follow up after the adoption to ensure the puppy went to a good home and received vet care. I sent her all the information and my home address and contact information. She sent pictures of the puppies and a e-mail saying how she new I would be a good pet owner. I even shared the puppy would be for my daughter and how heart broken she had been since her dog was attacked. The cost was $150.00 for shipping she even had me to send the closes airport information. I then received a letter telling me how to pay thr travel cost.

She sent a number of e-mails acting as if she was trying to ensure I was a good person before she would consider letting me have the puppy. What she did not know was my daughter did not get her class ring beause she picked the puppy over her highschool ring. It was a scam and we sent our money by Western Union to a fake company.
