The company listed is not really the company doing this

Their name has been used in association with the address for

Maryland Book Exchange 170 Po Box 80529 Lincoln, NE 68501-0529

and Nebraska Book Company 4700 South 19th Street Lincoln, NE 68501-0529

They used the address for Maryland Book Exchange with the name Nebrska Book Company on the check.

The address on the envelope is 

207 Queens Quay W., P.O. Box 126, Toronto, ON M5J 1A7

which just happens to be the address for an amusement attraction called The Toronto Islands

The bank routing number is for

WELLS FARGO BANK, N.A. 255 2ND AVE SOUTH City MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55479-0000  (800) 745-2426

Seriously, I am so sick and tired of my elderly mother receiving these crap letters in the mail, and having to re-explain the whole scam letter/fake check scenario, over and over again to her...

I am sending a copy of this check to all three companies and Wells Fargo Bank, maybe they'll close the account and fix this (if they haven't already)

They're never going to stop this scam as long as people send them money, so maybe if I post these over and over again, you can see this and tell your parents beware. My mom is 70 by the way.
