Bright Effects - Lowes Bright Effects bulbs - how to dispose Pico Rivera California

With Sharpie I write the date installed on all Bright Effect bulbs. None has lasted longer than 1 year. I take them to Lowes and set on their return counter and tell them "here's another" and leave since I don't have the reciept (the company is counting on people not keeping the receipts for months, let alone a year). Why? There is mercury in fluorescents and BE claims to be part of the Green Movement. Lowes cannot throw them in the garbage without environmental penalty. Therefore the inconvenience of disposal creates much more visibility to the outlandish and untrue promises this company makes about their bulbs and how they represent their longevity and environmental friendliness. I encourage you to dispose of them in the same manner.
