Werner International Enterprises . What seemed like a request to send a lightbulb catalog, turned out to be a phone scam for high priced light bulbs! Baltimore, Maryland

Our Church received a call from "Werner International Enterprises Inc." with a P.O. Box #25911 in Baltimore Maryland.  A sales person from this "company" called our Church and requested if he could send us a catalog of "light bulbs".  I gave him the permission to do so, not long thereafter, we received a box of F32-T8-CW-LLES Flourescent Light Bulbs - Ones which we never ordered nor authorized-and the packing slip in the box of light bulbs said "Verbal Order" with my name on the Packing Slip.  There was never a request made for any product, nor was there any authorization given to purchase anything.

Werner International Enterprises Inc. mailed an invoice about a week later for the thirty (30) flourescent light bulbs in the amount of $479.00 plus $19.90 for shipping costs. 

We are also outragged at this scam as we found from reading past ripoff Reports that others were also scamed and rightfully so "outraged".  We are not the only ones that have been taken advantage of from this Company.  We have an invoice #4671 dated 10-06-2009, this invoice is for approximately fifteen (15) times more than the fair market price of similar bulbs found at stores such as Lowes or Home Depot.  We are out of state, and approximately 3,000 miles on the other side of the U.S. from Werner International Enterprises Inc.
