I submitted a refund request more than 11 weeks ago and am still waiting
for my refund. I have tried numerous time to talk to the owner, Jordan Ruzicka,
and I get no answers on when I can expect my refund. I FULLY expect a total
refund, as one of the properties I had in loan modifications foreclosed on
October 23, 2009. I opened up loan modifications with Choice Loan Consulting on
Jan.31, 2009 and have been more than patient with this company, even though it
has been one of the worst experiences I have ever encountered, both with my loan
company, Aurora and with Choice. Keeping up on communication with Choice has
been a nightmare from the beginning, and having had only 2 or 3 discussions with
my loan negotiator during the 7 months of time was unacceptable, thus my request
for a refund. I feel that I have been more than patient and willing to wait,
but it is now getting to the point of severe distress!
I am also aware of the Arizona Attorney General inquiring about loan modification
companies, such as this one, who prey on the public, by promising loan
modifications, requiring money upfront, and then never delivering on promises
that were made. I have cc'd them with this email. My credit is ruined, my
property is foreclosed and I'm out $4000. I feel that since this company didn't
wait 12 weeks to take my money, I should not have to wait any longer to get my refund.

We got ripped off by Choice Loan Consulting also

AUTHOR: Jeanette H. - Queen Creek (United States of America)

My husband and I began our journey with Choice Loan Consulting in March 2009.  Our neighbor, and very good friend, was working for the company gathering people for loan modifications.  He had his home loan modified and had wonderful results so he wanted to pass along the help to others.  He is no longer working with the company, for reasons not related to the conduct of the company itself.
Anyways, we started the process in March 09.  We knew it would be about 2 months or so before we heard anything regarding our status.  We knew the banks were simply flooded with requests for modification.  We paid $2,500 for each of our 2 homes to be modified.  One house had renters in it and the other was our primary residency (we had tried to sell the first house to no avail, so we decided to rent it instead of just dumping it).
About 3 1/2 months into the process, and after NUMEROUS unreturned phone calls, my husband went to the Choice office to speak with someone directly.  It turns out that our file was "missing" information, which was their own fault- it was turned in in a sealed envelope.  What in the world made them NOT contact us after 3 months?!?!  Apparently the incomplete package came across someone's desk and they chose to not contact either us or our friend who gathered the information.  (We have copies of all our information, so it was impossible that we were missing information on our end)
At this time we requested our money back, stating that it was taking way too long for this process to even begin.  The gal we were dealing with assured us that we would be "placed at the top of the list".  We were already suckers at this time, so we went ahead and forward with the modifications.
We received a letter from them about 2 months ago stating that our refund on the first house was in review (What?  I thought we agreed to go ahead with it?!).
On December 11, 2009 we received an email stating that we did not qualify for the modification on our primary residency because we didn't fall within the 31% guideline.  Which is ridiculous because we tweaked and re-tweaked the numbers with someone from Choice about 4 times.
Either way, we were happy at that time because we just wanted our $5,000 back.  We tried phoning the office and Jordan Ruzicka directly, but to no avail (what a surprise).  My husband drove to Gilbert to their office only to find a notice on the window that the company has closed.

I will be contacting the Attorney General's office on Monday, January 4, 2010.  I want to know what steps to take next.  A class action law suit?  Is there any way we can get even a portion of our money back?
