Elite Law Group Anthony Wilson Refuses to give refund for modification denial Newport Beach, California

I used Elite Law Group located at various different different addresses in Newport Beach, CA to do a Loan Modification with my mortgage company in September 2010 and their services were very questionable.  In the end, I was denied a modification from my mortgage company. I feel all they did was fill out some forms and check my documents (I thought since they claimed to be lawyers I would get better service--big mistake.) I constantly had to micromanage Elite Law Group to make sure my mortgage company received all my documents. There were times when I had to fax my documents myself because Elite Law Group failed to do so. I paid $2000 for this kind of service???
 
Elite Law Group says in their contract that you sign that they will give you a refund if you are denied a modification. For three weeks I have been transferred to the accounting department where there is a voicemail from a Mike and have not gotten a call back.
 
I also discovered today that Elite Law Group blocked my work number from calling them because I have been calling them every day about my refund.  After being blocked, I then used my cell phone to call them and was once again transferred to their accounting department by their receptionist.  Now my cell phone is blocked.

They have a similar complaint of another customer not getting a refund with the Better Business Bureau.

In the Better Business Bureau internet posting, it lists an Anthony  Wilson as being the manager of Elite Law Group. When I did an internet search, using the search criteria of “Anthony Wilson Loan Modification” together, my search results came up with Anthony Wilson working for a company located in Florida called Spartan Financial Group.

Doing a search on Spartan Financial Group comes up with many postings of people who have had Loan Modification Scams by Spartan Financial Group.

The moral of this story: Before you do a Loan Modification with a company, do an extensive scam search on the internet for that Company, any full names of people you might know that work at the company, and maybe even the address or telephone number. When I first did my search, I was not able to come up with any information but three months later I found a Better Business Bureau entry. Even though I was too late and my money was already taken and I have yet to get a refund, hopefully you will be smarter than me and Elite Law Group will not get any more victims.
