EMC Mortgage Provided false information regarding a loan modification Merritt Island Florida

Our original loan rate with this company is twice what the current rate is now. We called EMC mortgage to arrange for a loan modification. They sent us about 2 pounds (literally) of paperwork, which we filled out and submitted. After many phone calls to the company which went unanswered, we finally got in touch with a loan modification agent who told us that we were good to go, we had our loan modification, and the paperwork would be coming in the mail soon. After several months of receiving nothing in the mail and of continuing to make our original payments at an exorbitant rate, we contacted EMC and were again ignored for weeks. When we finally got in touch with the agent, we were told that OOPS! the owners of our loan had decided they were no longer interested in refinancing any loans at this time. Try again another month, but make sure you continue to keep your payments current. We feel angry and betrayed.
