I saw ad for Federal Loan Modification Law Center on a TV ad. I called them and them said they could help us get a modification with Countrywide Home Loans for a fee of $1495, payable in three monthly installments.

They took $500 payment out on February 17, 2009 and another $500 payment out on March 16, 2009. Right before April 10, 2009 when the $495 payment was coming due Cresta Neilsen the NEW case evaluator contacted me by phone (landline) and by email and said that Countrywide was not going to cooperate in a loan modification for us.

She indicated we were due a full refund for services not done in the amount of $1000. She said if I filled out and faxed back to her the release form for the refund then I would receive the refund in 10 business days which would have been April 28, 2009.

Still no refund, no communication of any kind, and their phones say leave your name, number, and a brief discription of the problem you need to discuss with them and they'll return your call.

Federal Loan Modification Law Center, Irvine, CA Still no answer or check!

AUTHOR: Judykatz - Springfield (U.S.A.)

As reported earlier, Federal Loan Modification Center scammed me out of $1000 and never repaid it as promised. I got in touch with the Better Business Bureau for the Irvine Area and they semi promised me they would be able to help me get my money back. They had helped others get their money back as witnessed by their numerous testimonials of success. I checked my report to them recently and they said they had closed my case and could do no more for me after having only work on the case for two weeks. If you can't trust the Better Business to help you who can you trust? AND still no communication or money from Federal Loan Modification Law Center! Is there no way for me to recover my money? My husband is Social Security disabled and I'm working at a low paying job. We need help!! Countrywide Home Loans ripped us off with their predatory lending on our home and now some idiots are ripping us off when we are trying to get help to get away from Countrywide's brutality. Will it ever end and is their any hope for us?
