I began talking with the Housing Law Center in June of last year.  I was default on my loan three months and I needed help.  I couldn't pay them until the end of August and they ensured that I would get a home modification after I paid them.  At the end of August I paid them $2400 as my house was being foreclosed upon; a sale date had been established.  The Housing Law Center did postpone the sale date a few times but they told me they were still working on the loan modification process.  I talked to them last the first part of December as another sale date was looming on the 13th of that month.  It was postponed until January and they told me to call them back at that time.  I did call back the first week of January but all I got was an answering machine.  I left messages but never received a call back.  I also sent E-mails to them and again, no response.  This is when I started to investigate them and found other complaints.  So here I am, further in debt with Bank of America and bankruptcy a very real possibility.
