Start Positive Loan Mitigation LLC appears to have "disappeared".  After taking a very large fee to re-negotiate a mortgage rate for a legal resident with limited knowledge of English or US law, Start Positive Loan Mitigation LLC appears to have done little to nothing to assist this indivdual.  The company appears to target individuals in dire financial situations as well as hispanic individuals.   

The company's website (www.startpositive.com) is no longer available with the exception of the following page:  http://www.startpositive.com/admin/login.php  which still appears when searched online.

I have filed a complaint with the Maryland Attorney General Consumer Complaint (http://www.oag.state.md.us/consumer/complaint.htm) and I would encourage EVERYONE who has had a similar problem to file their own complaint with this state government office.  Perhaps, with enough public outcry, the Attorney General might investigate the activities of this LLC which was granted an "identity" and a business license by the state of Maryland.

What are we to do ???

This company and many others like it simply shut down and relocate and change there name. I too filed, but with the BBB of maryland and i was told that they could only try and get this matter solved but thats all. I also spoke with someone from the ag and was told I had to file a complaint, however after reading the complaint form and how it works it is basically the same as the BBB. It seems that in order to get ahead in this country is to steal,lie,and run. I wish all of those who tried this company ( Start Positive ) and any other company of this sort best of luck.

To those of you who have had bad experiences with Start Positive Loan Mitigation LLC, please take the time to file your complaints with the BBB of Maryland and the Maryland Attorney General.  Like others, I filed complaints and was extremely disappointed by the lack of response.  The BBB of Maryland was combative and the Maryland Attorney General was completely unresponsive.  If these two organizations that are suppose to help protect consumers take such a passive and ineffective role then it is no wonder that fraudulent companies thrive in Maryland.  If you do not file a complaint however, then the BBB of Maryland and the Attorney General will use this as another excuse to justify their lack of interest.   They do not care and they know that there is nothing that an individual can do to make them do their job!

The owners of Start positive also own a debt settlement company called Clearoneadvantage. at clearoneadvantage.com 1-888-785-5376. same address.
