Direct Ed Loans (Peggy Peterson) Scam!!!! Scammed me out of $4,600. New York New York

I was contacted by Peggy Peterson of Direct Ed loans. She said I had been approved for a 40,000 loan and that due to my bad credit I needed to send in a deposit to cover 4 months of payments. I had to western union (3,095.00) to a Linda Penna out of Pickering Ontario Canada. The money was suppose to be in my account the next day, when it was not I called her and she said that the "lenders" took a second look at my credit report and they required an additional 3K to proceed. I then told her I could not come up with that amount of money again and she said that the company would front half of it if I could come up with another $1,600. So desparate as I was I did 4 payday loans and wired them the money. When again the funds were not in my account she said I had to have the money put on a credit card and taht is the only way I could get the money. At that point I knew I was being scammed and the sad thing is my gut told me so the whole time but I did not want to listen as I thought it was a way out of my financial troubles and I was pregnant with my 3rd child at that time. So I told her i wanted a refund and that I had reported her to the better business bureau and she played off like she did not know why I thought she was scamming me. Anyway, she told me 15 - 30 days for my refund. I did not receive it and called her again, she told me that they were cutting my check on the following week. When that came and went I called her again and she said she had to contact her "refund" department to find out what happened. I called her an hour later and she said in 2 - 5 days I should have a replacement check as the one they sent apparently never reached me and they had sent it to the wrong address on my license. So I am sure in another week I will not receive it again. The funny thing is she keeps answering the phone. I thought it would be disconnected by now. So, I am out 4,600 and am still in debt to my ears. This company only made it worse.
