Generous Lending Aka Octine Loans Generous Lending took my $1500 deposit money; then asked for $2500 more, saying the loan consultant didn't calculate the deposit right based on the loan amount Ontario Nationwide

These people claimed to be a helpful funding organization. They approved my $15,000 loan with a 5% interest rate; even calculated my monthly payments. All I had to do was send in documentation of who I was along with a $1500 deposit via Western Union and I would get the deposit back within 90 days of paying on time. Unfortunately, I sent the deposit and was told I should have the loan proceeds in my account the next day as long as my bank was open. A couple days later I checked my account; no funds. I called G.L. and was told it would be there by 2pm, something had happpened with the electronic numbers.

Later in the day, a so-called finance person calls and tells me, I need $2500 more; that Debra Willis, the loan person, had incorrectly calculated the deposit amount. I was furious. That is when I demanded my money back immediately. I told them the company was a scam and I would be contacting my attorney. They said I offended them. The person kept telling me they just wanted to give me the loan but could not without the additional money.

I asked to speak with the owner or a manager but, of course, they were not in the office. I had my suspicions about the company and did some checking online about them and could find no negative information so I thought I would give it a try...stupid me. I just hope I get my money back. Luckily, I have LifeLock and credit monitoring so my personal information is guaranteed protected. But, I will run my credit reports a little more often now.
