I filled out a general payday loan form that gets many lenders in touch with you so that you can choice which one is best for you, I picked a lender I used before instead of the ones that e-mailed me because I knew the terms and felt comfortable with using them again. The day after I filled out that form I recieved a deposit into my checking account for $500 from Geneva Roth a company i never heard of or contacted myself. I didn't question it to long because it was 12-03-08 and as a seperated mother of 2 at the time and holidays around the corner I assumed that the terms must be similar to the other loan I used and thought it was a blessing in disguise. HOW WRONG I WAS! Long story shorter is that $150 was debited from my account under the name GRC Funding and I again assumed the payments were spread out as I never agreed to any terms or recieved any. Today I reached payments from my account to GRC Funding at $750 and knew something was wrong as this was about $150 more than the loan and interest I anticipated would be. i got the 1-800-351-8820 # from my bank and first talked to Jose then a supervisor Chris who both informed me that the $750 I've paid were ONLY toward interest that re-accumulates every 2 weeks until you contact them (no website, no e-mails, and no contact with them ever before today) and let them know you want to pay the loan and interest=$650 in full. So my $750 in pmnts were futile and I still owed $650 reachig $1400 as of today for a $500 loan I took 2 1/2 months ago!! And that is only if I agree to pay the $650 today otherwise they will debit my account $150 forever!!! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and am filing with my bank to never allow them to access my account again but is this enough? I have read so much about this company (under several names, Geneva, Geneva Roth Ventures and GRC Funding) doing this and there seems to be no ending to the lengths they take to ruin peoples credit and harass them even at work! I am a nurse and have more patients then time in the day and cannot be contacted at work and feel I have even over-paid them...NOW WHAT??
