h&r block in affilation with household bank ripoff, misleading ,inaccurated information

this is my story...we went to h&r block for two years. this year when we went we were told we would have a 24 hr. refund. Well, two weeks later we still don't have it. So we requested a letter from the bank on why we didn't qualify for the 24 hour loan.

When we recieved the letter it told us the reason...which is....this....more than one eic dependent for primary based on prior tax return..and it said to refer to the certifiaction section of the loan. We refered to that section and there is nothing in that agreement even close to why we would not qualify.

We sighned that agreement knowing why we may not qualify and that info was not in the agreement. After two weeks of phone calls H&R block and their bank is clueless.

We are now filing a complaint for false info and faulty bussiness. These two companies are not taking the blame and because of a mistake one of them made, my bills are behind and I am the one who has to explain.

when ppl depend on that refund and recieve misleading ,inaccurated information there is a problem.In the loan it does say why you would not qualify,,,,so why wasn't my reason in that loan?????? Out of everyone I talked to, not one person has the same excuse therfore there is no legitamate reason .

Please Read your Electronic Refund Advance Agreement

I am sorry you had a bad experience. Please allow me to shed light on some of the misconceptions a lot of clients get about the advance loan. Like its name it is just a LOAN nothing more nothing less. You apply for it and you qualify or not. In the agreement itself that H&R Block cannot guarantee the loan and may get disqualified and in the even that happens you will only be responsible for to pay the non refundable bank fees. The advance loan unfortunately is not guaranteed and is not for everyone. It is like any other loan , car loan, home loan , why should this be any different. and H&R Block understands that , that is why it protected you by that agreement so that you do not plan your financial situation based on the loan. I hope this clarifies a bit.
