I have experienced what all these other individuals have gone through. I received two voice mail messages from this company. Both stated that it was urgent that I return their call regarding a time sensitive matter.
I returned the second call and was told that charges were brought against me with regard to a defaulted payday loan through 1st U. S. Bank. The alledged incident took place in April of 2007. He had the last four of my social security number, the last four of my current bank account, the name of my bank and the street address of my residence.
I explained that this was the first I had heard of this bank and of this situation. I explained that there was no way I could have taken out a payday loan using a bank account that did not exist. I had no accounts with the bank at that time. He said he did not know but that my name was on the application. He also had the names of 2 of my relatives that I alledgedly used as references.
Out of curiosity, I asked the name of the company I was talking to and where they were located. He asked if it would affect the case. I said I don't know but I would like to know who I was dealing with.
After the entire conversation, I said whatever and hung up. I did some research and found numerous complaints from individuals who were victimized in the same manner. All had similar stories and dealt with the same rude, obnoxious, arrogant individuals.

After filing this report, I received an additional 2 phone calls. On the second call, a message was left repeating the same information.

Deny everything. Say that is not the last 4 of your SSN and that is not the last part of your bank account. Do not even admit that is your bank or even that it is your address.
