Paradigm Acceptance, Gateway Computers RIPOFF, WAY TOO MUCH MONEY, DO NOT NOTIFY UPFRONT Hampton Virginia

My husband and I applied for a gateway computer yesterday and were declined from them. When we applied there was another screen that said they would forward our information to another company and we should hear back from them within 48 hours and if not, then we could contact them.

We received a call this morning saying we were accepted, happy we were. We spoke with them and yes, immediately they asked my husband if he had a checking account. They told him to finance the computer we had to make a down payment of 91 dollars and then 32 dollars for every week for 10 weeks and then the computer would be shipped out to us. What they didn't tell us is that we would have to continue to pay thereafter.

Thank goodness I found this website and called them back the same day to cancel the transaction! We were going to pay 375 upfront to get the computer and then I thought she told me that I would only have to pay 150 thereafter. Well it turned out to be 1150. I guess that isn't bad for a 2.8 ghz laptop, but it was the matter of the fact that we were also not told that if we made the downpayment it was non refundable. (this was found out by the BBB).

I will just go to Ebay and purchase a computer for a little bit more, this is crazy I think. Hopefully someone else will read this and it will help them out.

OH, they were very friendly when we did talk to them, even when I called to cancel. They are very easy to get through, we didn't have to wait at all.
