Quicker Loans & Trust Scammed- Frustrated and Humiliated Salt Lake City Utah

I'm going through a financial hardship-single parent,college student, and employed full time. I go online seeking to find a personal loan. A few weeks later I'm contacted by a Steven Parkway-ext3 from Quicker Loan & Trust. He informed me that I was approved and not-preapproved to receive a $5k loan that could be direct deposited into my account in a matter of hours. He emailed me a contract and asked that I fill it out and fax it back. Which I did.

I was also told that the lender is asking for an upfront collateral of over $1k to initiate the loan process. I was told to send the money through moneygram to a person located in Canada-which I did. I was then told that the loan would be deposited into my account in a few hours.

Almost 3 days past and no money in my account. I then contact this company to inquire and was told that the lender had second thoughts and I was considered a high risk. I told them to refund my money immediately and I was told that a check was cut and mailed out from Canada. It's now been 2weeks and I have yet to receive any refund check.

Getting someone to pickup is like pulling teeth and there's always a prompt to leave a v/msg, which no one ever calls back. I've actually spoken to a few people who are not helpful and act like I'm bothering them. They appear like they're looking into it and never get back. This company is a scam and unfortunately I was at a vulnerable state and was lured in. I feel really stupid.
