Sonic Payday worst of the worse RIPOFF Nationwide

I took out a $200 loan with Sonicpayday. No problem - I was able to pay it back on time. And, yes, they did take it out in 2 payments, which I thought was odd at the time. I got sick, and, needed more money, so, I borrowed another $300.00 from them. However, this time, I did NOT sign the agreement. It was just done automatically since I had repaid them the first time. When I found out I couldnt' repay them, I did call, and, send an email.

I received an email from someone named Shawn. Here is what he wrote: If you think you might go NSF and will not be able to pay off your loan on your repayment date, you will need to call the Payment Services department. They can be reached at 1-800-772-9981 and they are open from Monday - Saturday 9:00am - 7:00pm Central Time.

So, I called, and, was told they wouldn't work out a payment plan with me. The girl was rather nasty, so, I took down the Western Union information she gave me, and, was then told my NSF charge would be $49 - not $29 as originally stated in their first contract. I was also told not to put a city or state on the Western Union payment.

Odd? She gave me 2 weeks to repay this amount. I fully intended to do so, until I received an email less than one week after talking with this rep stating that I now owed $489.50 - $9.50 more than I was originally told,a nd, that she had contacted my payroll department about a wage assignment. (One which I never signed in the first place). I emailed and asked for a copy of the $300 contract. Here is the reply I received: Dear Miss Shook,

Unfortunately, we can't email the wage assignment and loan agreement to you.

The loan agreement can only be viewed on the website.

If you have further questions, please call us at 1-866-867-6642.

I then went to the website, and, on live chat. I informed the person that I wanted a copy of that contract, and, immediately received it by email. However, I did NOT sign this contract.

When I found out that I wasn't going to be able to meet the date due on the loan, I immediately zeroed out my bank account, and, put a stop payment on them. It cost $28, but, well worth it. I also notified my payroll department of their scam, and, to not comply with any requests from Coastal Credit.

I started receiving collecton calls from someone named, Miss Smith. She called me 5 times within a 15 minute period, and, I hung up on her the first time. I was getting angry as she kept calling, and, I didn't give her a chance to talk, but, promptly told her that I asked her not to call me, and, she WAS to honor my wishes, and, to consider herself reported. And, I did report them to the FTC.

Well, the next day, someone called me at work, and, I was ready for them. I told the man that it was against the law for him to call me at work, and, that they were being reported to the Federal Trade Commission. Which, I reported them once again. I received only one more call and that was left on my answering machine with a 48 hour deadline to contact them or there would be serious consequences.

I haven't received any further contact from them yet, but, fully expect they will try to take my paycheck. I'm going to call my payroll department once again, and, inform them that I did NOT sign this agreement, should they get a copy of it.

It sounds as though this company has a history of strong arming people who are in desperate situations, and, refusing to work with them. They need shut down, and, immediately before they can harm any other consumers.
