I did not get ripped off from this company (but if she had been a better scam artist I might have been) but I'd like to warn everybody out there just in case because I tried to search this company up but there are no results yet. Well, first off, here is the info I know about this scammer:

Name: Alexa Calloway (or someone working under "The Firm of Alexa Calloway")

Style: Scam money through phone by credit card or wiring or bank deposits by using past poor credit information (true and accurate--probably derived and found from credit reports or third party). Most important attribute of their style is the SCARE TACTIC they use on EVERYONE.

Number: 1-877-627-0413 ext. 4015

Alternate names from previous years: DC Miller and S&R (Spellman and Roman) // Same phone number, different extention (i.e. 4020, 4024, 4035, or any variation beginning with "40")

MY STORY:

This is a funny one. Unfortunately a couple people have sent money to them but I was fortunate enough to blow her fuse before she asked for my information. I think I would have given it to her because I'm only 20 and I don't know much about law, if she hadn't gotten so irritated by my confusion. Anyway, here is what happened to me and I just wanted to write this to warn people and not fall for her crap, and also if in the mood, feel free to mess with her head and piss her off more.

My dad received a call at home and this Alexa Calloway asked for me. My dad said I was at work and asked her what the problem is. She said she is from The Firm of Alexa Calloway and needs to speak to me immediately because I am (direct quote) "in big trouble." Being the fearful and concerned father he is, he asked what did my daughter do wrong? She said (yes quite rudely) "I don't need to tell you. This is your daughter's problem" in roughly those words. So then my dad frantically calls my work where my mom picked up (I work in my parents' restaurant) and tells her everything and then she tells me. She gives me the phone and my dad tells me very seriously "write all of this down, NOW" so I did. I wrote down:

The Firm of Alexa Calloway
1-877-627-0413 ext. 4015

So I called right away. After 2 or 3 rings the line picks up and an automated message says: "This call may be monitored and recorded, please dial the extension you wish to reach" so I dialed it. Nobody picked up. So I call again with the same message and process. Somebody, a woman, picks up, and the conversation is as follows:

"Investigations."
"Hi, my father directed me to call this number immediately. I want to know what is going on?"
"What is your name?"
"A*** H**."
"Ok hold on [pause] Is your social security ****?" (She gave the correct digits I'm censoring for privacy purposes)
"Yes."
"Ok well I'm calling on behalf of my client as a part of the State of California looks like here you owe money for a payday loan of $250."
"What? I'm sorry but I don't remember."
"Somebody should have contacted you within the past month to inform you that you have 30 days to basically turn yourself in and pay."
"I haven't talked to anybody about owing any money, I'm sorry I don't know what is going on."
"Nobody contacted you? Well somebody should have. I have your online application right here in front of me for this loan that you haven't paid back."
"I'm sorry when was this loan taken out?"
"It was taken out a year ago. It was deposited into your Washington Mutual account, which I see, is not active anymore."
"Yes the accound is closed. The money should have been withdrawn last year for the loan from that account if that were the case."
"Well, was your account closed or did YOU close it."
"It was closed."
"Did you have a problem with Washington Mutual? Have you ever been in trouble before?"
"Yes I did I had overdraft fees that I tried to resolve. But I had a dispute that I did not wish to pay the large fees of $500 or $600 only what I owed."
"You realize you agreed to be responsible for all of the fees because you signed a contract to open that account. You do not live in California anymore do you?" (Information she gave is all accurate and I did live in Cali a year and a half ago but I did get my issues resolved)
"Okay...well who is pursuing me for money?"
"The State of California."
"I know, but is it Washington Mutual or the loan company?" (I truly thought I still owed a payday loan that I wasn't informed about at this point)
"The loan company." (She was a bit stupid...)
"I know, what was the name?"
"First Patr----" (I didn't hear her she said it too fast)
"What??"
"It's a financial company."
"What? Is that the name of the company? Financial?"
"WHAT???" (She started getting mad and yelling at me...I was confused as to why she was doing that...)
"What is the name of the company?"
"First Patriarch"
"I don't remember getting a loan from a company with that name, I'm sorry."
"Miss, I have a recording here of you talking to my firm 2 months ago."
"I'm really sorry but I didn't get a call 2 months ago and even if I did I don't remember it" (2 months ago I was in California for vacations hanging out with my friends. I didn't receive any calls on both of my cell phones and my parents didn't tell me about any important calls like they usually do at home so yeah I don't think so. I was still confused here.)
"I have a recording of you right here with me. It's kind of hard to fake a recording, don't you think?"
"Well okay. Can you just explain to me--" (cut me off)
"Hold on please."
--Elevator music for about 10 minutes and my phone goes on low battery--
"Yes, I was talking to the Federal ---*distorted mumbling* and they say that you have to go to court if you don't pay the money you stole."
"Excuse me? I didn't "steal" any money. I think that word is too harsh I borrowed money and wasn't informed that it wasn't withdrawn back from my account -- hold on can I call you back on another phone I'm on low battery."
"Yes sure can."
*Calls her back quickly on my work phone*
"Yes hold on A***"
"Ok..."
--5 minute elevator music--
"Okay yes what were you saying?"
"I said I don't think this is stealing. You should have informed me prior to this happening. I can't be held responsible for something I wasn't informed of I didn't even know I owed money!"
*She started yelling at me so we were basically screaming over the phone arguing with each other here so I don't know what she said*
"I HAVE THE RECORDING OF YOU RIGHT HERE ARE YOU SAYING THIS RECORDING IS NOT YOU??"
"Ok. Let me hear it."
"You know what? I was going to help you but now I'm not. I'm not explaining ANYTHING to you you should know what I am talking about we called you 2 months ago. This will be taken care of in court, GOOD LUCK."
*Click* she hung up on me rudely. I called her back.
"Investigations."
"I don't think it was necessary for you to hang up on me."
"Well I'm gonna do it again. Good luck."
I called back after she hung up on me AGAIN.
"Investigations."
"Why won't you just explain to me what is going on? I really don't know!"
"I don't have to explain anything to you. Prepare to leave work in 15 minutes because I am calling the police to have you arrested for owing this money. They will escort you to the state line and transport you to California."
"I just want to know what is going on!"
"You should know we contacted you 2 months ago about this and you spoke to someone."
"No I didn't! Why didn't you contact me a year ago when the loans were actually active and due if I did owe such a loan!"
"Prepare to be taken out of your work and escorted to California for court. GOOD LUCK!"
*Click* she hung up on me AGAIN.

And that was that...then I searched online and found this website that you should all read (((Redacted)))of stories that people have gotten a call from this crazy woman. I was very confused after that and pissed off that she wouldn't explain anything to me. I was ready to go along with it too! Good thing she got mad and forgot to ask me for my bank account and credit card info (I wouldn't have given it anyway I would need to see some paperwork which she refused to show me cuz I asked for the application she just ignored that comment) and hung up on me. I found out it was a scam and I want people to be aware that she will scare you but just know this, you can't be arrested for owing money!

Also, I thought it was funny because I was asking innocent curious questions and she started hardcore yelling at me. She gets frustrated really easily.

I'm going to call her tomorrow as a follow up and mess her with for a little bit. She told me she would have me arrested in 15 minutes...it's been 7 hours so far and will be 17 by tomorrow so I'm going to ask her where the cops are? And when they will be coming to get me? That'll kick her in the face.

Well I hope this is a good warning and I hope this will help many. Luckily I didn't get scammed and I hope nobody does either. So, don't let her get to you! YOU GET TO HER! Her threats and scare tactics are fake and useless, have fun with this one! I know I will tomorrow! BTW, she usually won't give a name if you don't ask, but ask just to make sure it really isn't somebody collecting money you really do owe...yeah. Okay, take care!
