TRIAD FINANCIAL CORPORATION Predatory Lenders, Harrassment, Repo, Threatening Garnishment... BEWARE!!!! NORTH RICHLAND HILLS Texas

Financed A 2003 Dodge Ram Quad 1500 through Triad, made payments (mostly on time) for 2 years, and fell on some hard times. Tried to Re-Finance with Triad, but they refused, and though I only needed less than one more weeks extension to catch up my account, they repo'd my truck, sold it at auction, and have billed me for the balance. It sold at a time when gas was 4.00 +/gal, and projected to go higher. They got about $5000.00 for it, and now want me to pay off the almost remaining $15,000.00 difference. I contacted an attorney, and we offered to make small monthly payments until things got better, but Triad has refused, and is now threatening Garnishment, which is forcing us into looking seriously at Bankruptcy.

In looking back, I could kick myself in the ass for having ever gotten into this. At the time, I was desperate and needed a vehicle, and my credit was not so great, options limited.

In speaking with Triad directly, they have been snotty, rude, and self-righteous as possible, obviously enjoying the hell out of kicking someone when they're already down.

I have spoken with a couple of people who work in the financial markets, and both have called what Triad does "Predatory", and quite possibly illegal, certainly unethical. Triad has called my employer on numerous occaisions, as well as my in laws, which I feel is highly inappropiate, and nobody's business but mine.

Bottom line: These guys are creeps. I have read many of the other posts here about Triad, and they are mainly right on. I am adding mine to that list of dissatisfied customers.
