Southbay Expressway Karina Warning. Do not use Southbay Expressway in San Diego San Diego, California

NOTICE. The company is in bankruptcy and they are desperate to rip off users of their expressway any way possible.

DO NOT USE the expressway unless u have exact amount cash, or want to give them your credit card swipe which I would not trust with them.

We used 2 exits going to Eastlake to buy something from Craigslist. We didn't bring exact cash at the time so we went thru the booths without paying like it says on their sign. Pay online later. Ok.

We pay the next day for 2 toll booths on their website.

Then we receive notices in the mail saying we never paid and the fee is 26 dollars each violation. We send in a print out of our receipt using a credit card with our affidavit. Then they send us another notice saying we now owe 103 per violation. What the hell? I fax over the proof of payment and they then threaten to send a DMV hold. I ended up paying the original $26 per each "citation" to get them off my back...

Poor customer service, poor communication, dishonest business. No wonder they are foreign owned and in bankruptcy.
