Locksmithservices.com Locksmith company made initial service call, took my money and disappeared Memphis Tennessee Internet

I called locksmithservices.com at 866-455-0488 on Friday. 7/3/09 to see about having a lock replaced on my house. They sent a locksmith to my house later that day.

The fellow that showed up had no ID and his truck was not marked. But he identified himself upon arrival, so I figured everything was ok. Wrong.

He said he did not have the lock on his truck and that he would pick it up at his office Monday the 6th and install it that day. He also tried to sell me a Rottweiler, which I thought was grossly unprofessional. I paid him $75 for the service call.

Monday afternoon arrived, and I had not heard from him. I called 866-455-0488 to ask about him. The young lady who answered the phone said he was running a day late and that he would be by Tuesday. I asked for a call back from the locksmith himself to confirm this and did not receive it.

Lather, rinse, repeat for the next two days. Each day he was "running behind" and would be by "the next day." Each day I requested a call back which was not granted.

Finally, on Friday the 10th, a week from my initial contact with this company, I reached the same young lady and really let her have it. She promised he would be by on Tuesday. Today is Tuesday, and unsurprisingly, I have not heard a word from locksmithservices.com.

I am out $75 and suspect this company (or subcontractor) makes their money from initial service calls without following up and having to provide actual service. I have since restarted the process with the help of a small local locksmith.

Run, don't walk away from locksmithservices.com. They are at best a sleazy phone bank which subcontracts to anyone, and at worst a complete scam disguised as a legitimate company.
