I was promised several things on my first experience with getaroom.com. When I arrived and my room had none of those things, I called to complain. I was offered a 50 dollar credit when I book another 2 nite stay thru getaroom.com The first time I tried to get this credit, I was told that getaroom does not service that specific area. The second time I tried to get this credit, I booked the room thru getaroom.com. and actually called the 800 phone number and had a sales agent promise me I would get the credit as soon as I completed my stay and the hotel notified them of my stay.
Today I get a phone call that unfortunately my stay was booked thru travelocity and that they could not give me my credit. I have the email FROM getaroom.com thanking me for my reservation and also my bank statement SHOWING a charge from getaroom.com . I call back a customer service supervisor asking where to forward this information to them to PROVE it is thru getaroom.com and he continually says that this is a travelocity reservation and they WILL NOT give me the credit. When I start to get angry and ask how can this be when I have proof it is not, he starts mumbling ummm.....unfortunately, sometimes we outsource thru other companies...blah blah blah.... I interrupt and ask him to read where I had my last conversation where I was promised this refund and he cannot find that information, even after I give him the date, the associates number and all other info. This site is a total fraud. I wish I could afford to buy billboards in every state to broadcast to other to STAY AWAY from this company. How can a bank statement say getaroom.com but they still say its a different company? I ask if there is anything they will do to make this right for me and he just keeps saying that its not thru them and they collected no payment from me so he cannot give me the credit I am due. I was treated rudely and flat out LIED to.

Getaroom.com is a bad company. I would suggest that you dispute it on your credit card. Dispute the transaction as fraud. They will still need to pay the hotel that you stayed at.
